Make this on a Saturday evening (after a home basketball game) and I would definitely drive up for the day.

Maybe someone else can respond to this, but I believe A&T will have something similar to this after signing day. I believe it was mentioned in the Aggie Club earlier this week.
Dee Todd, Fobbs, Sulkowski, and the Strength and Conditioning coach talked to the Aggie Club about recruiting and conditioning. I believe it was said that the s&c coach said that people could come and watch workouts.

I can't believe Morgan is actually charging $25 for that event. That price seems about 5-10 dollars too high. I don't know if the average fan is going to shell out the equivilant of a reserved seat for a regular season game, just so they can eat some buffet and hear a coach exaggerate about his latest class of recruits.
I hope I'm wrong.

$25 is very reasonable for a fundraiser with the coach and the new recruits there. "Pay the cost to be the boss"

I'm telling you - that extra 5 dollars on the ticket price is going to be a deal breaker for a lot of people.

Make this on a Saturday evening (after a home basketball game) and I would definitely drive up for the day. I agree, after the BCC on 2/10 would have been a perfect setup. Have it at the new Alumni Event Center. Walk across the street from Corbett after the game to the Event Center. I would roll down too for this. I don't think $25 is to much, it’s a fundraiser. Have the coach give a 5 minute spill, introduce the staff, invite the signees and parents, and introduce the transfers, maybe some Q&A. The rest of the event would just mingling. But an event like this would have to be planned, because the most important factor is getting the word out. The problem is it will not be a big money maker, but plants the seed. This is an event that we should consider underwriting. How much is the use of the Event Center ($1000), how much for catering 300 people ($3000) and another $1000 for promotional costs.

25 bucks for a chance to get some info and a buffet isn't too much. You spend 25 bucks just going out on a Friday night. And that's without getting to hear the coach lie about how good you're going to do this year.

$20 is a rounder number and sounds a lot better than $25. Five bucks might not seem like a big deal but there are fortune 500 marketing firms on Madison Ave that will attest to the fact that it makes a difference.

AGGIE SIGNING DAY PARTY is taking place on Wednesday Feb. 7th. Ill get more info (time, location, etc) and get back to the crew with the update.. The banquet environment (similar to Morgan) on a Saturday night is A&T style and could become big. If not this year certainly next year.

Totally agree, People (at least me) wouldn't take off a day of work in the middle of the week to attend. But, put that thing on the weekend and I'm there.

Tickets to the MEAC Coaches' Kickoff Press Luncheon are $30-$35 and there at least 20-25 tables with 10 seats to a table at that event. When it was in DC there were generally three Aggie tables. I would think we could do least 300 for an event in Greensboro.
