First thing, dude took a good shot. Secondly, the entire team is watching the fight and not the field LOL!! That is because, the play was stopped on the field from where both teams were fighting first. The refs were discussing who was getting ejected and the fight in the stands broke out between students from Central and JCSU. That dude in light blue shirt throwing the punch got his tail whooped after that swing. The guy in white shirt that coming in to hit him went to that tail and then got arrested. They were fighting at the Famu / Miami Game last night too.... To Funny

As I stated before, J.C. Scrubs! I know it flies in the face of conventional wisdom but I would rather play a somewhat more competive team (on paper) in my opener and rather then a patsy like VUU or Smith.
It's like giving yourself an extra bye week and you're younger players a lot of extra game time on the field against someone who won't challenge seriously your record.
Right now teams like NCCU and WSSU know plenty from the first week about their starters but almost nothing about their own depth or bench.

I agree with your opinion on JC Smith and your point on 1st game competition, but when did VUU become a patsy? Though they haven't won a recent championship they are generally competitive with the top teams in the CIAA. In fact, didn’t you pick VUU in that game?

Yeah I picked them but it didn't make any difference last week. They stunk. Like everyone else I assumed they were the same team or be close to what they had been the last few years.
But since I don't follow the CIAA very much I had no idea their talent level had fallen off that much that fast under this new guy took over last year as their coach.
I went to see what WSSU had and really what Maynor would be like as a head coach.
He's a young Bill Hayes in his coaching style but with a much stronger offensive mind.
VUU was "Fobbest" at best. Between them and Smith it would scoreless overtime.
