You misspelled Kwanzaa and about how many running backs do you know that can run without a line in front of them?
There is little reason to get excited over gaining one piece to a puzzle that requires over 50 pieces to even be recognizable, much less complete. Simple question: If homie was playing for us this year how many games would we have won?
Thank you. Anyway I'm just stating the obvious. We need help in all facets of the game. It's doing this kid a disservice to annoint him some kind of saviour. His first fumble and y'all will call him "program killer" and garbage. Let's just take a deep breath.

Who said anything about this guy being a saviour? I'm just glad we finally have something to be excited about concerning the football program.
I mean, seriously: we haven't won a game in a year and half. It's not like we have been spoiled with a bunch of positives.

He appears to be the real deal and then some after researching him. Has great pass catching ability as well and a good blocker. A lot of major people offered him - Miami, Clemson, NCSU, FSU, Rutgers, Syracuse, Florida, Ga. Tech, Louisville, Va Tech, Texas, and Texas A&M.
Always good to keep the lines of communication open even if you miss one.
His speed is legit and electronically timed, rated a 4-stars by Rivals, rated No.44 among all recruits nationwide, number 4 in Florida in 2004. He redshirted in '05 and has three years of eligiblity remaining, maybe even four if his appeal for a medical redshirt is accepted by the NCAA.
With Ferguson and now Chancellor transferring in, the tailback position is very solid though I still want us to go after Quan Warley for insurance and a big power back to complete the puzzle.
But Dooms is absolutely right on his take. The real acid test now for Coach Fobbs will be securing some O-linemen and D-linemen of equal ability to this kid.
Stay tuned.

I just want everybody to remember this is still the worst team in A&T history even with this kid. Cautious optimism guys, cautious optimism.
Best case scenario is that the o-line will improve tremendously with a year under the new coordinator under their belt and a decent off-season regimen and that in turn will allow us to have longer drives and protect the defense. That will in turn spell some victories, or at least some closer losses.

That would be an pretty formidable trifecta. The best thing you can have at the running back position is depth and competition.

Besides experience has taught us we probably will lose one or two of em anyways. I also agree with Dooms that we also have to focus on the offensive line. Unlike most folks on this board I still beleive we have adequate talent on the offensive line to be good. They just need proper conditioning and coaching. Won't do any good to get a stud recruit if he's not being coached correctly.

Coaching running backs is the one thing Fobbs has shown a penchant for during his 30-year career. Prep Notes 3 North Forsyth players to play Division I football
COMPILED BY MASON LINKER
• Three of the players who fueled North Forsyth's powerful running game last season have committed to Division I football programs, former coach Bill Oakley of North said.
Offensive linemen Enoch Cohen (N.C. A&T) and Sergio Glenn (Marshall) and running back Mike Rucker (Wofford) all committed recently, Oakley said.
Cohen is 6-4 and 275 pounds, Glenn is 6-6 and 310 pounds, and Rucker is 5-10 and 175 pounds. Rucker rushed for 1,758 yards last season and was selected to the Journal's All-Northwest Team.
"They all have done a good job in the process," Oakley said. "They went at it with an open mind, and all the schools did a great job communicating. I am impressed that they really thought out their decisions. They are all outstanding students, and they will all be qualified as freshmen. And they will all go where they said they were going."
Oakley said that the three players plan to sign Feb. 7, the first day of the NCAA signing period for football.
