(Coach Lee Fobbs recieved his first commitment from safety Michael Pace, a 6-0 185 (4.35) juco transfer from Hinds Junior College located in Gulfport, MS.) Also an outstanding track performer with a best time in the 100 meters of 10.5 seconds
Hope he pans out, he is soooooo fast, looks like we have a return too!!

We definitely needed a safety now that the Wills are gone. I just hope he can tackle.

I'm glad to have that speed on defense. We were sorely lacking in that department.

I'd still like to see him get in that weight room and throw on 10 more pounds. He is going to be called on a lot this season to help out in run support and we've seen what happens when we have players that are too light in the azz.

January 05, 2007 Chancellor Looking At Three By Phil Kornblut Former Clemson RB Demerick Chancellor (6-1,192) said Friday he is looking at North Carolina A&T, Texas Southern and Marshall for his new school. He said Marshall just recently contacted him. Chancellor was the third leading rusher on the Tigers' fifth ranked rushing offense during the 2006 season. clemsontigers.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/chancellor_demerick00.html clemsontigers.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/121806aaa.html Clemson, SC - Clemson reserve running back Demerick Chancellor has informed Clemson head coach Tommy Bowden that he plans to transfer to another school. Chancellor was the third leading rusher on Clemson's fifth ranked rushing offense with 276 yards on 45 attempts this year. He had a pair of 100-yard rushing games and averaged 6.1 yards per carry. "I tried to convince Demerick to stay at Clemson," said Head Coach Tommy Bowden. "He is an outstanding player who was very productive when we was on the field this year. His decision to leave is about playing time. We certainly wish him well. Some school is going to get an outstanding back." Chancellor was a reserve behind James Davis and C.J. Spiller, who combined for 2048 rushing yards this year, second most in the nation by a running back combination. Chancellor was a red-shirt freshman for the Tigers this year. The native of Miramar, FL had 11 carries for113 yards against Louisiana Tech and 21-114 against Temple for his top performances. He suffered a shoulder injury late in the season and did not appear in the last four games. Chris Chancellor, Demerick's brother, is a freshman defensive back on the Clemson team. Chris is 10th on the team in tackles this year with 35. He said after practice Saturday that he will remaining at Clemson.

Something must be going on at Clemson. The AJC is reporting that C.J. SPillers is possibly transfering to Florida.
Clemson’s Spiller to Florida? Meyer ‘can’t talk about it’ By Jeff D'Alessio
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Published on: 01/09/07 01:13 PM
Hours after winning his first national champioship, Urban Meyer would not discuss a hot rumor Tuesday morning that Clemson tailback C.J. Spiller has decided to transfer to Florida.
“I can’t talk about it,” Meyer said at a media gathering Tuesday that included the AJC’s Tony Barnhart.
Spiller, a Lake Butler, Fla., native, would have to sit out a year if he transferred to another Division I-A school.
Spiller finished fourth in the ACC in rushing as a true freshman, running for 938 yards and 10 touchdowns and averaging 7.3 yards a carry.
