Does anyone think Hampton has a chance against New Hampshire? I don't know much about UNH other than that WR that broke Jerry Rice's records.

No chance. I hope Hampton proves me wrong. Our conference will not get any respect until we start to consistenly winning in the playoffs

I might check out HU on Saturday. If HU expects to win this game they need to jump on UNH early. Most of these schools aren't used to dealing with the type of team speed that HU has. It's time for Joe Taylor to let Chris Beatty run his offense.
If HU happens to win this one they can expect a beatdown against UMass the following week

You must not understand me. UNH beat Northwestern. Not Northwestern State. Northwestern University of the big 10. And it wasn't close. Hampton's team speed will not even cause UNH to bat an eyelash. UNH's team speed and execution will bewilder Hampton.

No we're not.
I'm happy Hampton came close but they've been coming close for years. The MEAC hasn't had a team that won a playoff game in seven years. One cheated and the other one beat a team with a third-string qb playing.
Hampton had a fifth-year senior at qb and a senior dominated offense. They also had a veteran defense with NFL prospects that dominated the meac. The meac conference is full of underfunded teams with poorly run athletic departments. It's harsh but it's true. The proof is in the pudding.

Hampton lost in a nail bitter 41-38 to New Hampshire in a game absent of defense. The MEAC is getting closer to sending a team that can represent correction: Hampton lost a nail biter in a game absent of defense in the first half. In the second half became apparent to me HU had the more talented team. The coaching staff goofed down the stretch at both halves. The second half gaffes were more crucial though. I'm not as optimistic as you are though. The stars were aligned for Hampton to have a magnificent run. But they are losing their most important pieces to their recent dominance in the MEAC. I expect Hampton's star to burnout and for them to fall back to the rest of the MEAC pack. At this point, I've settled on the belief that we are what we are. There wouldn't be any Texases, Ohio States, or USC's without any Baylor's, Northwesterns or Stanfords. Would there?

[At this point, I've settled on the belief that we are what we are. IF that's true, then we need to stop trying to pretend we're something else. IF it's not true, then Hampton and NCCU should have won today. Today is in some ways more embarassing than if they had been blown out.
