You can't have it both ways, academics first!

Well, have all the practices at 9:00 at night. I don't care. Whatever time you set, it has to be manditory that ever player on the team is there on time and stays for the entire duration.
That leaving practice early, getting there late crap is not how you build a championship team.
Either be a student athlete or just be a student. Some of these guys are going to have to make a decision.

The incident that I was referring to in the earlier post was that of the Defensive Coordinator physically going at two adults(male & female) that were apparently one of our players parents. Players from both teams tried to diffuse the situation and it could have gotten out of control. This was the most unprofessional act that I have ever witnessed after a game, and was a huge embarrassement for the Aggie Staff..Did anybody else see this ?
I still dont think that you kick a kid off of the team bc he's late to practice b/c of class, study hall or in fact any other school related activity. These young men are student athletes...STUDENT first! And if Johnson in fact exchanged words with a coach, I dont think kicking him off of the team before his senior night and last game in his hometown is the answer considering everything he and the other seniors put up with this season from this unorganized program...Just my two cents

If he's 20 minutes late to practice let him sit 20 minutes before he comes on the field. I would find anyway possible to make sure he did get to play after all he'd given to the program. Bad decisions are the main reason we are 0-11. I do not want to sit here at this time next year typing bad decision are the main reason we are 0-22. It's way past time to make better decisions.

Depends on what he did and said if I kick him off or not. Some things cant be let go. We dont know if the kid apologized or was just like "F U" after the altercation. One thing I learned when it comes to dealing with students of ANY age is 50% of their story is bull$h*t.

Right Monster, I would say more than 50% is BS....Teachers do not take someone cussing them out . They call security or have them put out of class. Sounded as if Johnson made a big mistake. But , those of you that would take a cussing out in your profession, perhaps in front of a client or your employees are better men (peoplle) than most. From my point of view if it happen it front of team members, Fobbs did not have much choice. Athletes have always . come to practice late or left early because of class even when you won championships at NCAT. But , I doubt if the Johnson incident had anything to do with being late from class. Having said that, Johnson did play hard and it is disappointing that he apparently had to be dismissed before his last 2 games. Now it is time to graduate. MISSING PLAYERS , WHO ELSE WAS MISSING?...Happy thanksgiving
