A&T that New Balance paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to sponsor. New Balance also hopes to access a younger market through the meet that has been in Greensboro since 2005. Nike dropped its sponsorship of the National Scholastic Sports Foundation event after the 2009 edition, and New Balance agreed to a deal March 1. "We do really well with a middle-aged running consumer," said Josh Rowe, marketing manager for New Balance running.
