Umm, so what kind of water are the diamond Aggies drinking? They must still be feeling it from the Central blowouts. Congrats guys! For the fourth time in five games, the Aggies posted double-figure runs as they defeated High Point 15-3 at War Memorial Stadium on Tuesday. The Aggies have scored 71 runs in their last three games to go along with 65 hits.

If they keep performing like this some other program will become interested in our coach. One of the pitfalls of winning!! 71 runs in 3 games, man that's unheard of!!

If they keep performing like this a whole new crew of haters will suddenly pop up on this board, criticizing coach Shumate.
Nothing brings out the losers around here like a winning program.

they played a very competitive game against n.c. state but i need to see how they do against more competition before i get overly excited. we loss to elon 14-0 and campbell 15-5, so that kinda brings me down to earth...

I saw that Campbell game and we gave them that game with too many errors. It was either 8 or 10 of Campbell's runs were unearned. Hopefully our defence has improved since that game.

HPU falls at North Carolina A&T 15-3
Share HighPointPanthers.com March 16, 2010
Nate Roberts (Spring Grove, Ill./Richmond Burton) and Robbie Gilles (Geneva, N.Y./DeSales) had back-to-back solo home runs in the ninth inning but the High Point University baseball team fell at North Carolina A&T 15-3 on Tuesday.
“We did nothing that resembled a team effort, confidence or aggression,” said head coach Craig Cozart. “North Carolina A&T took it to us right from the beginning today. We just have to get ready to play tomorrow against East Carolina.”
HPU starter Mike Caldwell (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Christian) lasted just 1/3 of an inning, allowing five runs on six hits before he was relieved by freshman Jamie Schultz. Schultz was able to get out of the inning with just one more run scoring but the Panthers faced a 6-0 deficit after the first inning.
High Point got on the board with one run in the third inning. Steve Antolik (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Cardinal Newman) doubled to lead off the inning, advancing to third when Pablo Rosario (Belleville, N.J./Lawrenceville School) grounded out to second base. Mike Mercurio (Brewster, N.Y./Kennedy Catholic) picked up the RBI with a ground out to shortstop, scoring Antolik.
Schultz put up three scoreless innings before giving up a two-run homer to Xavier Macklin in the fifth inning. With no outs and two more runners aboard, Schultz was replaced by Nick Schumacher (Charleston, W.V./Charleston Catholic). Schumacher only recorded one out, allowing both the inherited runners to score as well as one of his own before Steven Roche (Yonkers, N.Y./Iona Prep) was brought in. On Roche’s first pitch he got Carvell Copeland to fly out to center field but walked the next batter and allowed back-to-back doubles to give the Aggies a 14-1 lead.
North Carolina A&T added one run in the seventh inning off freshman Steven Schils. Wes Torrez set the Aggies down, in order, in the eighth inning.
In the top of the ninth Roberts and Gilles hit solo homers off Garrett Braun but the Panthers fell 15-3. Caldwell fell to 0-1 on the season and Esterlin Paulino improved to 2-1 for the Aggies.
High Point University 11-4 will host East Carolina Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Williard Stadium.
