After the Lady Aggies' stunning loss today, this is a rare opportunity for Eaves to finally win over the hearts and minds of the entire A&T fan base.
An upset victory tonight against Morgan will help ease the pain of the women's untimely exit.
It's no secret that Bibbs and the Lady Aggies have overshadowed the men's program over the last few years.
This could finally be a chance for Eaves to change the balance of power on the A&T campus.

I agree, this is a big game. The league may even want an Aggie win...Joel has been empty.

Morgan is strong. They packed it in and made us attempt 3's. Thompson is a beast. I dont think that he had two fouls. He made great moves, he played a great game. Dela state beat BCU by two points.
Eaves played the freshmen and Marc Hill the last 4 mins. He mentioned during the press conf. that he will start to recruit jr college players.

He mentioned during the press conf. that he will start to recruit jr college players. Hey Oldschool, You remember when I was telling you 2 years ago how Eaves was an idiot for not actively recruiting JUCO players? Now look what he's saying. He's had a couple, but not nearly enough for what he's trying to do. You've gotta admit (even though I know you won't, lol), I've been dead on when it comes to this guy.

What good will juco's do? The problem isn't with the players. It's the system that's being taught.

Eaves didn't say anything about JUCO players after the Howard win.

A&T men's season ends in quarterfinals Thursday, March 11, 2010 (Updated 8:40 am) By KEITH TOLBERT Special to the News & RecordWINSTON-SALEM — Dreams of a MEAC tournament run by N.C. A&T were quickly put to rest Wednesday night as Morgan State dispatched the Aggies 84-57 in a men's quarterfinal at Joel Coliseum. The Bears established their inside game early with center Kevin Thompson, who finished with a game-high 20 points and grabbed 16 rebounds. Thompson was aided by the slashing and shooting of Troy Smith, who had six points during an early 13-0 run that gave Morgan (25-9) all the momentum it would need. The Bears also forced the Aggies (11-22) out of anything they wanted to do offensively, keeping them from getting near the basket and making outside shots difficult. "They were just more physical than us and kept us from getting into our offense," said A&T coach Jerry Eaves. "They kept their bodies on us and forced us outside the 3-point line. The last time we played them, we were playing around the free-throw line." Morgan State coach Todd Bozeman said his team was as prepared for the game with the Aggies has it has been all season. He said they were motivated by a quote from A&T in the paper about wanting to take on the Bears. Read more: www.news-record.com/content/2010/03/11/article/ataposs_season_ends_in_quarterfinals

What good will juco's do? The problem isn't with the players. It's the system that's being taught. Well, you know I've been at the forefront on criticizing his idiotic system. And another problem is his assistants (don't underestimate that). But, you need JUCOs, prep school players, and D-1 transfers to win in this conference now that Bozeman is here. When Jack was winning, even he had at least 1 good transfer every year. Think about the best players we've had during the Eaves era. Just about all of them came from 1 of those 3 places. The reason is simply this. Eaves is not really a good coach. His freshman really don't get much better (think Coleman). When Ewing, Rush, etc arrived, they were already a bit seasoned due to playing somewhere else already. To be honest, I don't think it will make much of difference b/c they can't evaluate talent. So at the end of the day, you're probably right. lol
