Been time for him to go..since his tenior we've had two football coaches. I'm not saying its a good philosophy to fire coaches every two to three years, but he's had enough time to rebuild the program and still its stayed the same. To me he has a coaching philosophy that doesn't work!!

Eaves contract is up in May. There should not be more than a one year extension.

It is time for Eaves to go; who ever said nope couldn't have been watching him over the past 7 years. I have; and his coaching philosophy does zero for aggie basketball. He insists on playing seniors who are not worthy, pulls people out when hot, team has never been aggresive (they are soft), consistently gets outcoached, will never get an MEAC title, just to name a few. He does recruit decent players; but his senioritis and coaching efforts outweighs this. If he stays don't expect anything different.

A few things changed in this game we only shot 25 (3's). I will say I like the fact that Eaves snatched Johusa out when he tried to get fancy on a easy layup in the last 5 minutes.
One additional thing that needs to happen fast is that ---- he reel Josha in if he is not shooting well. I understand that a shooter shoots their way out of a slump but that does not mean he can go 0-9 in 3"s . Take the ball to the hole; shoot a short jumper, get to the line.
Alston had some bad plays (missed layups) but on a whole he played pretty good.
Joshua hurt the team today..

I routinely got slammed for suggesting this guy doesn't get it. It's amazing to see how many people were thinking the same thing. The Winston game hurt Eaves, but for the most part, he's good to go. Why wouldn't he get an extension now. He's done the same thing to get his 2 previous extensions. lol. Pay attention.
It's safe to say that he'll never win the MEAC (regular season or tourney) as long as Bozeman, Jackson, Evans (he's on and off though), and HU's money is around. Plus, SCSU and Bethune have even gotten better. All he has to do is continue to keep people like Aggie9195 in his pocket ans stay close with WB and he's good. Give him credit, he knows how to work it! Get used to it......I have, and that's saying a lot.
lmao

heck, i know i went hard on my boy eaves after the winston game. but he deserved it. that's how poorly we played. but had we played with the same intensity as we did against coppin, we would've blown winston out! i'm pulling for eaves, i like the guy even though i've never met him personally. i think the csu game revealed that the players haven't tanked on eaves and that's a good thing. i haven't seen them hustle and dive after loose balls like that all season long. but the question is whether they can sustain it.
it also appears that johnson means a lot more to the team than i originally thought. his presence appears to make a difference as far as how well we play. with the exception of the wssu game, the men have looked far better since johnson returned to the lineup. we're 2-1 since johnson returned and we should be 3-0 because we shouldn't have loss the wssu game.
i kinda agree with decks. next year's recruiting class on paper appears to be eaves' best by far, especially lester and cooper. i would hate to jeopardize loosing either of them. i think eaves' contract calls for him to be notified by now if his contract is not be extended. if i'm wheels, and i'm "forced" to make a decision immediately in order to comply with contractual terms, i'd be inclined to offer eaves a 1 year extension. but i'd prefer to see how the season plays out before making a decision...

I agree 200%.
The Coppin game shows at least Coach has a hold of the team. Johnson is a quiet leader and a smart fundementally sound player. I was a little bewildered when Johnson came out of the game with 5 minutes to go. Then Joshua through up that ___ shot. Johnson came right back in. Hopefully he was just getting a quick breather in order to finish strong. He means alot to this team.
I just wish we had one player on the team that has a fearless disposion (you know an emotional player - Tweet / BTJ). Walter T. Johnson referenced this doing the game. "Team has know heart"
From everthing I have read about Lester and Cooper they both will bring that missing piece.
I could be wrong but I think Eaves feels this to. He shows more emotion and passion than they do. Maybe he should suit up. LOL

Who are you going to replace him with? Coaching can only help but so much. We need talent. And since we don't have the budget of even a low-end mid-major, let's let Coach Eaves coach, and the rest of us shut the hell up!!
You can't expect the man to make lemonade out of a s*** sandwich.

I think that's what most folks here are wanting him to do. The problem is it appears he is not doing a job coaching this team right now, or at least his record doesn't reflect that he is.
