have ya'll noticed that recruiting, pretty much across the board, has picked up at a&t? maybe its me, but eaves hasn't been signing an entire class of recruits during the early signing period. of course, bibbs will be bibbs, no surprise there. but c'mon, she signed a 6'3" oregon state stud of a transfer! and is it a coincidence that the general's recruiting has been off the hook? i could be wrong, but i think that brand new student fitness center has made a major impact... Eaves' recruiting got much better when Key left. I'll wait and see on Bibbs' class next year. That fitness center is a nice addition and I'm not discrediting facilities, but to attribute the recruiting to that is wreckless. Maybe if you could show me just 1 or 2 articles/quotes where ANYONE has even mentioned it, then just maybe I could give you something there. I don't know about now, but Robinson/Bibbs sold T's atmosphere over anything. I mean, what are they gonna say? "OK, let me take you to our really, really big new building that is not specifically for athletes, but hopefully you'll like it." C'mon man. Honestly, I think you just like new buildings. now see, there you go again, starting some mess! its not just a new building, its a new fitness center and "all athletes" use fitness centers! and i would think it is especially appealing to basketball players because its right next door to corbett. either you've never had any experience with recruiting or you're simply trying to start some mess. recruits absolutely love brand new athletic facilities! i've literally seen recruits' eyes light up when they see brand new athletic facilities and its a "proven fact" that facilities heavily influence recruits. you're the only person on the friggin' planet who doesn't realize how important facilities are to recruits. so i'm not even gonna waste my time going back and forth with you on a subject that is such a no brainer! that new fitness center has everything an athlete could dream of including an indoor track so that muggs don't have to run outside in the winter. i'll accept the notion that you're disputing this just to start some mess. because if you're right, there's "billions" of dollars that colleges are wasting every year to upgrade their facilities! but i forgot, you're smarter than all the college administrators in the country. maybe you should apply for an ad's job somewhere! you could save a school an awful lot of money. they might not win nothin', but they'd save a lot of money...

You read what you want to read. Look at the very first sentence of the post you replied to. At A&T, you sell the experience and atmosphere (like that youtube clip). This is university specific. You see what Bibbs/Murray's recruit said about T? She said that when she came here, it "felt" right. Every other school recruiting her had better facilities, but she was sold on atmosphere. Everyone likes nice things, but recruits aren't sold on that at our school. Look at all the articles, no one says anthing about facilities. Wake up. You think you're too smart for your own good.

I thought you said we shouldn't believe that newspaper article. LOL I didn't say that we shouldn't believe a direct quote. You're reaching again. I was talking about the suggestion that we whipped Baylor's @ss in a recruiting battle........which is still laughable.

Nah, I think the article stated that we beat VCU and Robie Pride in a recruiting battle. And that's when you said it was naive to believe that news article. LOL

LOL It's gotta be something personal between you and him. Maybe you can settle it with him the next time you see him. I'm sure you'll be all smiles. But by now, you've probably gone back and read it and saw where I was specifically talking about Baylor. I even did something I rarely do and disclosed how I personally know the truth. But if you wanna believe that, I'll play along.

Are you still getting touchy-feely whenever I mention Robie Pride? Why is that? LOL
I don't know that guy from Adam. What is there to settle?
But no, if you go back and read the entire thread, you'll notice where you said the news article was incorrect when it reported that Davis chose A&T over VCU and Robie Pride ... oops I said it again.

Touchy Feely? Oh yeah! Yeah they crushed Robinson on that one. That's good though because based on that great signing, she'll probably be averaging a double double this time next year. I'm gonna specifically make sure I keep up with her! Your enthusiasm has rubbed off on me! Thanks man.

For you this is alot more than the differences of opinion regarding Coaching styles etc. everthing about your post says that you would celebrate if the young lady is not productive just so you can keep singing about Robie Pride. On a side note I have a very close family memeber that teaches at T and he knows Robinson personally and spoke very well of him. Nobody disputing his credintals but at the same time dude is not hear anymore and we have not missed a recruting beat. That's no inditment on him just a fact.

I'm just messing with Thrilla the same way he thinks he's messing with me man. Don't take anything from that post. He knows that I know Rob, and he likes to take a dig every now and then. If I wanted to be malicious about Bibbs and/or some other things going on around there, trust me, I could. And for the record, we don't know if we've missed a recruiting beat or not. With the exception of the transfer, none of the recruits coming in are proven yet. Berry, Calvin, and Murdaugh are though. And Berry was signed without Bibbs even seeing her play. Hello! You can have that one for free. lol I'm just saying. That was for you Thrilla. lol

The major factor is that it's alot easier to recruit quality kids to a program thats playing .500 ball compared to 1-27. Bingo! and Eaves style of basketball gets young guys excited with dreams of 20 points a game.

Chad Lee Leads McCallie Past Tyner In Hall Of Fame Blue Tornado Use Fast Start As Springboard For 85-67 Win by John Hunt posted November 17, 2009 Perhaps the best thing about Hall of Fame basketball games is the fact that coaches get to see just how much progress their kids have made since practice began a few weeks ago. They also get to see where the most work is needed without being charged with a loss. That was certainly the case at Tyner Tuesday night for McCallie’s Dan Wadley and Tyner’s Gerald Harris. Both saw many positives for a couple of teams who have the potential to be pretty good before all is said and done. McCallie went home with the 85-67 win in a game that was basically decided in the first quarter. The Blue Tornado scored nine of the first 10 points in the early going. The lead had stretched to 25-9 when the horn sounded to end that first stanza. Tyner basically had to play from behind the rest of the game. While the Rams were competitive and looked at times like they might get back in it, McCallie hit some key buckets in the late stages to prevent any kind of comeback the Rams had in mind. Big Mike Bradley cut the McCallie lead to a dozen with two free throws to start the final stanza, but Chad Lee, a 6-5 junior, got hot from long distance and the comeback idea was erased in a hurry. Lee, who led all scorers with 25 points, scored 16 in that frantic fourth period, including three 3s in the first minute. Tyner’s Harris had a smile on his face at the end, despite the defeat. “We all knew it had the potential to be a great game and it was, but we got caught up in the moment and didn’t play well at the beginning. “We started off slow as we had a lot of nervousness, but this showed us just where we are and what we need to work on," Harris said later. “We have a lot of seniors on our team and we have a lot of expectations, but our hat’s off to McCallie. They are a young team, but they have some great athletes. They shot the lights out at the start,” the Tyner coach added. Lee led both teams with 25 points, teammate Cordell James was also in double figures with 12 points. Thomas Cooper scored 21 points to lead Tyner while Gilmore and Damien Suttles followed with 14 and 13 points, respectively. Tyner’s Bradley, who recently committed to UConn, never really got untracked and finished with just four points.McCallie won the rebound battle by a 25-20 margin with Henry Self and Paden Gaines grabbing five apiece. Bradley had six boards for the Rams while Cooper snagged five. www.chattanoogan.com/articles/article_163374.asp
