I know how broke we are, but has there been any discussion about renovating our press box? The one we have right now is a joke. I can envision having one very similar to the press boxes currently at SCSU and maybe Southern. We need much more room for the working media, broadcasters and VIPs. We also need some luxury suites that I am sure would bring in some high-dollar revenue. The luxury suites are the key. Think about how many people paid over $500 dollars a night for a suite at the Sheraton Four Seasons and you can be certain we would have no problem renting out the suites for big games like Homecoming and Winston Salem/NCCU.

Please. I'd rent one
I just wonder what the current stadium infrastructure will allow us to do. I read where somebody's stadium is literally built on top of their old stadium. I'm talking the old seats are under the new ones. If we can drum up the cheese we might wanna improve the sightlines on the home side. The first five rows are pointless if you're trying to see the game.
At this point with the finances the way they are luxury boxes ain't no luxury. They're a necessity. I'd think if you got 'em you'd offer them to 1,000 a year aggie club members at a discount.

You're right. Those luxury suites are critical to any plan we would have to dramatically increase our game-day revenue and eventually attract corporate sponsors.
They are not a luxury, they are a necessity.

Dammit! Can we stop thinking small time for just one freaking minute?
That blue print looks exactly like the garbage pressbox we have now, except it has a few more seats in the chancellor's box and a single elevator shaft that probably doesn't even work half the time.
Seeing crap like that makes me wonder if we will ever get to the Promised land. That schematic should have not even been posted on the school's website.
A&T, you are breaking my heart with your incompetence.

A&T, you are breaking my heart with your incompetence. I don't about incompetence, but that was what the budget would allow, and that was over a million.

It would be like taking the SCSU press box and bringing the 2nd level down adjacent to the 1st. The drawing is deceiving. And it was supposed to be built to accommodate a 2nd level expansion for luxury boxes also. What's drawn is not garbage.

The press box seems "OK" to me. Its a little slim, but we aint D1 yet. That drawing looks very pleliminary to me also.
I've never liked Aggie Stadium since I went to my first game. It sits too far back to me. I've been to stadiums where every seat on the lower level was a good seat because of the angle and distance from the sideline. I know some of this cant be helped because of the track, but I've seen it done better. Maybe the angle of the stands was greater. Those endzone corners are horrible seats to watch the game from.
Anyway, I like the press box. Especially if it is 40 yards long. A 2nd level of suites would be a nice revenue builder.

Cosign with Aggie Monster. I was not happy when we put the new track down. I'd have rather put it somewhere else and covered up the old track with bleachers to improve the sightlines.

Yeah, me too. We just don't have the land. If we did have the land, just leave the track there and build a football only stadium. The only possibilites would be the field where the band practices or the houses behind Brown Hall or use part of the farm.

I wished we could've bought up Forest Grove (or whatever they call it now) and gotten the city to give us Memorial stadium. We could've put tennis courts, a track, and a softball stadium over there along with some upperclassmen dorms. Then upgraded Aggie Stadium. But we're talking hundreds of millions of dollars.
