GREENSBORO, October 25, 2006 – Reed Wainwright has been named strength and conditioning coordinator at North Carolina A&T University, director of athletics Dee Todd announced today.
Wainwright comes to N.C. A&T with wealth of experience as strength and conditioning coach on the college level.
“I’m really looking forward to helping our programs excel and stay healthy through a quality strength program,’’ said Wainwright. “I’m looking forward to really working with the football team more once the off-season starts.”
Wainwright has spent the last seven years as a sports specific trainer at Wainwright Sports. Before working there, he spent two years at Texas Christian University as its head strength and conditioning coach. Wainwright has also worked as the head strength and conditioning coach at Auburn and Southern Mississippi. He worked as an assistant strength coach at Louisiana State.
Wainwright earned his B.S., degree from Auburn in Human Movement Studies. He earned his Master’s of Science degree with an emphasis in coaching and sports administration at Southern Mississippi.
In August of 1995, he became a certified strength and conditioning specialist with a National Strength and Conditioning Association. Four months later he earned his personal trainer certificate with the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Wainwright has spent the last seven years as a sports specific trainer at Wainwright Sports. You're right Thrilla, he does have stellar credentials and he must have been a consultant for his own company for 7 years prior to taking this position at "T".

Great move but how did we get someone with his credentials? I hope we can keep him more than one year. Great hire Ms. Todd!
