I like the way they are getting the information out to the masses via you tube. I wish the audio was better though. It’s sometimes difficult for me to hear when they talk low. Perhaps wireless microphones on the shirts will help.

I'm glad to see that Eaves has a vision for taking his program to the next level.

man, it's so embarrassing to compare our basketball facilities to most mid-major and major d1 facilities. our basketball weight room looks like a closet compared to most pwc facilities. good thing we have the brand new state of the art student fitness center on campus...

I tend to agree. I'm not sure if this video was a recruiting advantage or disadvantage. Some kids are going to see what we are working with right now and just laugh.
But like I said, at least it shows that Eaves does have a vision for where he'd like to take his program in the future. Kinda like Bill Hayes back in the pre-fieldhouse days.

Oh no Coach Eaves, im mad he tried to go in on WSSU in the interview with "Pj" and yall were just laughing it up(btw pj that hat was WACK oldschool LOL) talking about the 300 ppl we had at the Bethune game! First of all, it was more than 300, plus it was at the15,000 seat joel coliseum, hell the 8,000 that were there for the A&T game it still looked empty in spots. Another thing the game was the day after that huge snow storm in the triad area, so students def weren't getting out of their beds to get on shuttle to go to the game. So stop hating, games are back on campus, and we will have great attendance, top 5 in the conference I guarantee it.
In saying that, it's nice to see the actual coach be in good physical condition and taking care of himself also , don't yall just hate fat slob out of shape coaches who work the sh*t out of you but dont apply the same conditions to there health. you see this alot in cheerleading and football.

'Getup' I AM old school. We used to call my hat a 'paperboy' or a 'apple'. It will come back is style with guys like Common. But I think that Eaves wants to make the point to the 'league's leadership' to put the best foot forward, in terms of attendence, when showing the league to the world. He was right. We both love Winston...nothing personal by it.

Adding a little more, the league should have ESPNU show A&T/WSSU in Corbett or in Gaines or the annex. Hands down it would be hyped! It's our best foot foward.

I'm down with an effort to improve the things that Eaves talked about.

But like I said, at least it shows that Eaves does have a vision for where he'd like to take his program in the future. Kinda like Bill Hayes back in the pre-fieldhouse days. eaves was almost giddy over that one wide screen tv that's been installed. but if you've seen some of the pwc facilities, they literally have countless wide screen tv's all over the place. even though our basketball weight room and locker room is subpar, i think we can get away with it for now because the new student fitness center is virtually next door to corbett and our student fitness center is second to none, including major pwc's. i'd be willing to bet that that new fitness center has already won us a couple of recruits in virtually all sports but especially football and basketball. with the new convocation center now on the drawing boards and the brand new student fitness center just opening next door, our current basketball weight room and locker room will probably suffice for another couple of years or so. imo, as long as the plans for the new convocation center stays on track, i'm not gonna panic just yet. i still think corbett could use some more renovations before the new convocation center is built, but it appears things are moving in the right direction...

Is porter ever going to be a dominant big man in MEAC Play? West. I cant say for sure. But his demenor is quiet. How knows, he could get set up for a dunk or two by T Alston & he could come alive. Or he could face a Sean Bradley type player and use his speed to his advantage. I say if that brother hits his FT's, goes to the hoop when deemed ( dont pass it back out), and determine that he will be a Ben Wallace this year, then we will be ok. We have people who can shoot the rock. ================== Thanks everyone. Man, I cant wait to get in the gym, out of this cold & rain, and see us roll on Fri.!! Man...there is nothing like it! I want to see somebody freak! I want Coleman to throw one shot back to half-court and start a fast break off of it... like Marvin Webster. Or see someone crossover like a young AI vs Jordan ! there is nothing like the Gym!

Is porter ever going to be a dominant big man in MEAC Play? the answer is absolutely "NOT"! yet, i think he'll play better this year than he ever has as an aggie. he showed slow improvement over the years since he's been at a&t. so i've got to believe he'll be much improved compared to 2 years ago. he's always been able to run the floor quite well but he's never been a "consistent" inside threat. his muscle tone looked much more defined based on the pictures i saw, so he should be stronger. but i think his biggest value will come defensively. with both him and coleman in the middle defensively, we should do a decent job cutting off high percentage shots. i don't think we can expect double digit scoring out of porter, but i can see him scoring a few points on the break and on offensive rebounds. obviously he's not a saviour, but with the talent he has around him, i think he'll make a huge difference this year. he'll give us some bulk in the middle and he's a threat to score underneath. i didn't know at the time, but in hindsight, i think it was a good move by eaves to redshirt him last year...
