I'm listening to WNAA and those two announcers are making me cry. They are terrible.

Is it time for the Freshman QB to take charge?

Fears is so inconsistent. He makes decent plays here and there but overall he sucks.

He doesn't suck. Please. Did you see how many dropped balls there were? Good effort, Aggies!

Can't blame Fears. The offensive line was totally dominated by Hamptons front four. We still have a ways to go on offense so we will just have to be patient. This is at least the third different offensive scheme we've had in as many years and it's just gonna take a little more time.

Mayhew's 1st fumble was critical. We were driving.

I can't believe that I'm defending Fears, but he doesn't deserve to lose his starting job. The offensive line is the main reason why we lost last night. Tom Brady wouldn't have been able to do anything with piss poor protection. I don't know why we bring a true freshman to throw twice in the shadow of our endzone. I also can't figure out why he would throw a WR out pattern in that situation. That's just asking for a pick six. Larry raper touched the ball twice for over 50 yards. Why didn't he get a third touch? It doesn't make sense to me, but I'm sure someone will come and explain it to me.

We just don't have a lot of creativity on offense right now. Opposing defensive coordinators have seen us on film now and know all about the roll-out passes and the bubble screen.
We have not thrown a pass to the tight end since that end zone drop against WSSU, which means we are not attacking the middle of the field.
BTW: Our QB coach (whoever that is now) needs to do a better job. Both of our guys display the same bad habits. Niether of them have ever used a double pump or tried to look off a safety. They just lock in on the one receiver they expect to be open based on their knowledge of that particular play.
For Fears that receiver was usually Wallace Miles. For Kindle that receiver was Derek Gould. When you are only able to throw to one receiver and not go through your progressions, linebackers will eventually just follow your eyes and make easy interceptions.
That's what happened last night. We need to scrap this caveman offense and really find a way to utilize our weapons.

BTW: That decision to pull Fears was the worst decision this staff had made all season.
You do not send a true freshman quarterback into his first ever collegiate game, when you have the ball on your own 2 yard line and you're down by 10.
That is unfair to the player and a good way to break his confidence.
Coaches have to keep their emotions in check and think pragmatically. Last night, they did not do that.
Yes, Fears was struggling but he had also thrown for a touchdown and we were ONLY DOWN BY 10 Points. He won your starting job for a reason: because he is the most seasoned quarterback on the roster, the best leader, and has the best knowledge of the playbook.
If you want to play Kindle, at least give him a fighting chance. Let him take over right after halftime or when you are at midfield. Don't just throw him to the wolves and expect him to work a miracle.

Just like last week was a big win all around, this was a bad lost all around. The defense gave up the BIG PLAY, sometimes on 3rd and super long, the offense failed to close the deal with decent field positions most of the night, and the coaches didn't but the player in a position to win and players didn't execute.
This is a learning experience for all, this team will get better beacuse of this expereince, not worst.
