Well then, other than a real dangerous punt returner who ran two back for touch downs, FAM didn’t look any better than us. No one in the MEAC should kick to that guy so thank you Winston for being the test dummy. I am impressed with those big receivers FAM has…and those guys have to be wrapped upped after the catch or they will tack on more yards. Winston had an easier time against FAMS defense but their pass blocking is still putrid. FAMUS defense was too fast for Dunstin to turn the corners so he was very ineffective. Winston’s young QB was a small ray of hope but Blount is in for a long season. As for FAMU, they still seem rusty. I got the feeling that if they get the kinks out of their offense, they will be very explosive with big play capability. Their defense has a lot of speed that must be countered by power running. A very dangerous team. By comparing our stats to FAMs, it appears the Blue Death defense is legit. Our offense also compared well based on total yards gained. www.wssurams.com/sports/m-footbl/stats/2009-2010/wssu02.html

I agree, I was not impressd with FAM as being a team that will dominate the MEAC. They better come to play every Saturday.

You have to admit though...they made beating WSSU look easy. It looked as if they weren't playing hard at all.

that game reminded me of our game against hampton last year. we played hampton relatively even "until" jeremy gilchrist returned two punts on us for touchdowns (virtually untouched) which opened the game up. folks, its bad enough to have one punt returned for a touchdown, but two? back to back? that's devastating, like a dagger to the heart! i think winston contained pulley's running reasonably well. but they let vann run wild! i blame blount for that. just punt the friggin' ball out of bounds! the worst that could happen is a poor punt, but at least you don't give up a touchdown. who said blount is such a good coach?

It would have been nice if we had played winston on Thur night. Just to see a stadium full of fans on TV is good exposure for any school. From what I could tell there were only fans seating on one side of the field.
I know its hard to do from a scheduling standpoint but FAMU vs. BC would be a great ESPNU TV Game. I am not sure if the MEAC gets wind of potential TV games slots in advance if so the conference should try and slot the correct games. I know easier said than done since the conference does not determine a schools entire schedule, but we should maximize the national TV exposure when possible.
