My first question is how in the hell does Nicki Minaj get chosen to headline our homecoming concert?
My second question is .... who the hell is Nicki Minaj?

The alum homecoming show will feature "Dennis Edwards and the Temptation Reveiw". I think they are looking to add another group or person. The show will be held at the Sheraton (Koury Center) rather than the coliseum events center. I would rather see someone else but it is what it is!! Also, I was told that the price of the ticket will include free food (buffet style).

www.ncat.edu/press_releases/disp_release.php?ID=4215The North Carolina A&T University Foundation Inc. will present "An Elegant Evening at the Koury" starring The Temptations Review, featuring Dennis Edwards for the 2009 Aggie Alumni Homecoming Concert on Friday, October 30, 2009, 6:30 p.m. at the Koury Convention Center, 3121 High Point Road, Greensboro. As a part of the show, a buffet reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. and show time is at 8 p.m. The Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards continues to deliver the authentic Motown sound to audiences across the globe. Edwards, began singing as a toddler in his father's church and continued his path to stardom throughout his teenager years. He would later become the first new Temptation to enter the group after their "classic five" heyday when he replaced David Ruffin as leader singer in July 1968. With his gospel-hewn vocals, Edwards led the group through its psychedelic, funk and disco periods including the groups Grammy winner, Papa Was a Rollin' Stone (1972). He was the lead singer on many other hits including "I Can't Get Next To You," "Ball of Confusion," Psychedelic Shack," and "My Girl". In 1984, Motown re-launched Edwards' solo career and with a 1984 hit "Don't Look Any Further". He has received seven Grammy Awards, 14 Gold Records and has sold over 100 million recordings world wide. He is a member of the Alabama Hall of Fame and recently performed in Washington, D.C. for the 2009 Inaugural Ball for President Obama. He is considered a true legend in the music industry. This event is table only. Reserved table seating prices are $5,000, $2,500 and $1,200 and individual tickets are $100. For ticket information visit the N.C. A&T Ticket Office or call 336.334.7749. Ugh, its like SuperGHETTOjam part 2...
So is Drake officially out? i heard that its a toss up on him coming because of the whole leg issue...
I also heard Mary Mary was scheduled to be at the Gospel concert, but since one of the "Mary's" is droppin' a baby soon they are not coming...
I swear they don't make Homecoming concerts like they used to...

Some concerts. The entetainment is either mostly already deceased at the alumni concert or in or on their way to jail at the student concert.
I do believe that this year me and the mrs. will staying home and be throwing our own big house party after we beat BCC on Saturday night.

Aggie One, I feel you on this one. Besides, Sat. night is for the suite parties...friday night too for that matter...lol (if Chuck Brown is not playing).
In a way, this weekend will matter a lot to the young Aggies with NCCU & WSSU trying to pop off with their concerts. But for me, It's a lock', A&T is the place to be & everyone knows it.

A&T could have gotten some local rappers from Hampton Homes before they booked Nicki Minaj.
I know I am getting out of the loop but I have at least HEARD of Gucci Mane and OJ the Juiceman.
However, I couldn't pick Nicki Minaj out of a police lineup.

BTW: If you are even remotely considering spending $5000 to see Dennis Edwards in the Koury Center you should just send that money to the Lady Aggies' basketball program.
