The kid made it! Julian M. McClurkin, one of the best athletes in the MEAC last year did what so many thought he couldn’t. He now is in South America playing in Paraguay. His team is called Sol De America, and they won the championship last year. They wanted to repeat so they picked up a guy from A&T. If anyone is interested in his progress just look through the Eurobasket.com web site to find his team and track his progress. I can tell you Julian is very excited, and knows that he is blessed to play basketball professionally and I know he will represent A&T well. When things go well, he plans on continuing his career, and see how far he can get. The former A&T CLGI bible study Leader would like it to be know that he appreciates all of the support from the A&T student body, faculty and alumni. And a special thanks to Coach Eaves for taking a chance with him as a walk-on and sticking with him though his two years. I believe that this young man is an example that all male basketball players do not have to give in to the stereotypes of being thugs, or have many girls on the side. They don’t have to have a tough demeanor, and sub par attitude in order to be successful. This young man has kept God 1st, and has not been denied any GOOD thing yet. Lastly be sure to check out Julian's you tube highlight film. Just go to www.youtube.com/watch?v=urg8cTHvQLkGO JUJU! GO JUJU!
