You're right oleschoolaggie, this kid is off the chain! From the video, he did a lot of those long runs on his own. It seemed that all he needed was for his line to contain their man for 2 seconds, and he'll do the rest! and here's the scary part. that video was footage from his "junior" year! now i understand he got injured during his senior year, but can you imagine how much better he'd be as a healthy senior?

The speed is great but the leg strength puts this kid at the top of the class. He reminds me of the freshman running back fenom at the University of Pittsburgh. As a good as Larry Raper is he did not have the strength to run through a college tacke. He will next year after a full year of lifting / training but this kid already has that lower and upper body strength to break tackles and combined that with his speed - Totaly off the chain you're 100% correct, frisco. he reminds me of a slightly faster version of donte payne. last year payne had mad footage like jones. he demonstrated upper and lower body strength, along with the speed. but i think jones has a step on payne...

Just to add, that footage was from only his first 5 games of his junior year. To be honest his senior year was about the same, but you really cant improve on 1700 rushing yards except for to go another 1700(which he did). He was also sitting alot because Wake Forest was beating kats down this year.
Again, is this 100% accurate jslee? Dont get me all hyped up to see my favorite HS player for the last 2 years playing at my school and it not be true.

Yea aggiemonster deserves alot of credit for finding this kid but whose to say he wasnt already been scouted, i mean you cant just show up an offer a kid that day there had to be a process. I feel ya jslee, but I got to claim this kid. Read this article on page 40 and I'll give you 1 guess who Lamonte is. www.vype.com/raleighdurham/magazine?durl=http://magazine.vype.com/publication/b42fe97c (probably have to copy and paste entire link) I may not have dropped him in A&Ts lap, but I've been singing praises for a long time. Thats an OCT 2008 issue . I'm just glad someone at A&T was paying attention this time. Fobbs never did.

The Kirby kid from Wakefield who played wide out, linebacker, and saftey. Our staff wants him at safety. He scratched Elon completely off his list after they bungled a campus visit with him.

Wakefield has an AWESOME receiver in Nigel King(just a junior) who kind of overshadows anyone else on that team. Wait.......you not talking about Darren Kirby from "WAKE FOREST", not Wakefield are you?

I was in Raliegh yesterday at Carter-Finley and got a chance to see Butler play Jack Britt for the 4-AA State Championship. There were talented indivisuals on both teams but especially Butler, and most of these starters are juniors. I would love to see A&T go after some of these kids..

No offense, but I talked to HC last night and moms this morning. You might want lose your "reliable source's" number. HC told me NCCU and WSSU had contacted him and UNC was looking at him to play cornerback, but hadn't offered yet. Mom's reply was "No we haven't heard anything. Maybe soon." Unless they playing some serious "hush hush" then your source is..........well you pick a word.
