(This is from somebody's writeup, maybe Hampton Univ press release)
Walter Mebane who led the Lady Pirates of Hampton University for the previous 6 years has been hired as the newest assistant coach at NC State. Mebane returns home to his native state of North Carolina, where his main responsibities will include day to day operations of the team, assist recruiting coordinator and mainly stick to the Xs and Os on the court.
Mebane begins his stint with the Wolfpack on Friday. Where. He'll be very well compensated and receive a car stipend. Mebane is very appreciative for the oppotunity given to him at Hampton and the players he coached during his tenure.

I don't understand the title of this thread. It doesn't coincide with the writeup.

Nah, I honestly don't understand where it says that he can't wait for A&T. It just sounds like he landed a new job with NCSU.

The title was a tongue-in-cheek jab but it may be too much "inside baseball" for people to get it. The point is Mebane will start his new job this week. If he were to come to A&T, most likely he wouldn't be officially named until August. da dump!!! I see 'Sandman' dancing my way to get me (Apollo Amateur Night).

Oh, my bad. I thought you were saying that Mebane couldn't wait until he got a shot to coach against Bibbs. I misread the title.
