Looks like the SWAC is gonna have to get their tournament out of Birmingham.

Not too bad. Look for bigger attendance this coming tournament. A better job of promoting won't hurt, and to be more accommodating to fans who want to buy tickets. Don't make fans have to work to get tickets. Don't give 3/4 of the parking lot spaces to "so called" vips.

I personally had a great time at the MEAC tournament last year. I am looking forward to going back to Winston in 2010.

I must admit I was somewhat leary about the tournament being in Winston, but I really had a good time. And I think Lawrence Joel did a better job than RBC!
Im in for the next 2 years!!!

Just curious (not criticizing at all), but what was so much better with Lawrence?

LOL maybe that was it!
One thing I liked better was the after game interviews that LJ did with the players and coaches of both squads. This was shown on the big screen.

the meac could be a major factor to w-s economy in the future... this could turn out to be a happy marriage...!!!
but like all marriages... it takes both parties to make it a successful one... the meac needs to be taking the lead role along side w-s to make this a bigtime event... don't sit back & let w-s do all the work...!!!!!!!!
in other words... the meac tournament committee should have started working on next yrs. tourny... as soon as this past tournament was over...!!!!!!!!!
w-s should have been the destination when the meac left richmond...!!!!!!!

here is a money maker i'm surprised the meac office has not jumped on...
why haven't anyone gotten involved with a CAA-MEAC " BATTLE OF THEY BAY " tournament with hampton.. norfolk.. odu.. & william & mary... where you just swap opponents...!!!!
seems like a no-brainer...
