Yeah, pass the salt. I've gotta have something to liven up this crow I've gotta eat. lol
You all know what I think about Eaves' coaching but a 6-game win streak makes even the smartest argument look stupid. It appears that he may get a top 3 finish which is one of the things that I was asking for!! To be honest, even if he doesn't and even if they don't win more than one game in the tourney, I have to rate this season a success. Not only was this team dead last in the conference but no one expected anything out of them this year, except for Jazz (but he's in the tank, so that doesn't count, lol). Just kidding Jazz.
So yeah, I'll go on and eat my crow now. I could get into the win pct, or benefiting off low expectations, or how strong the conference was this year but I've been killing the guy since I've been up here. With that being said, it's only right that I give him his props right now. He's got the guys playing well and with this group, that is saying a lot. The recent success is a direct result of Eaves' leadership. It seemed to come out of nowhere, but I think we all can agree that WE'RE JUST GLAD IT CAME!!!
So oldeschool and Jazz, just shut up and pass the d@mn salt. lol

So oldeschool and Jazz, just shut up and pass the d@mn salt. lol bigboy, i'm not even gonna go hard on ya. even though i'm the ultimate loyalist, even i didn't expect to see the success our team is currently having. oh, by the way, that's "7" wins in a row, not 6! at the beginning of the season, i predicted that we could finish anywhere from 3rd to 8th. but i never would have imagined hampton would be riding the bottom half of the standings. that's why i predicted 3rd to 8th. even when we were struggling, i never did throw eaves under the bus. but i sure as hail did put him on the clock! however, as of now, eaves is hereby declared no longer on the hot seat! actually, let me take that back. maybe he performs better when he's on the hot seat. nonetheless, if we win at least 2 out of our final 3 regular season games, we'll "guarantee" ourselves a winning "overall" record for the first time since 1997! now that would be a major accomplishment considering no one expected this to be eaves' best season. so i guess eaves no longer looks like an idiot when he says this is his best team at a&t. but i still think he might want to take that dr. j comment back...

look guys... you are still missing the point... which is... the mens program is funded for 8th & 9th place... what they have done the past 3 yrs is over achieve...
instead of talking about who can & can't coach... we should be on administrations butts for not funding the team like hampton & scstate fund theirs... which is to finish at the top...
i would have put del st in there but their budget is 3 times ours... there is no way we could match that...
put that money from the guarantee games back into the mens program... they earned it... let them use it...!!!!!!!!!!!!!
besides... it would make the ncaa very very happy...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

decks... i don't know... but what i do know is when i look at hamptons schedule & the only guarantee game is uva... everyone else is home & home... that lets me know they are spending money to finish at the top... scst had a nice balance to their schedule... they played a few money games... but they played that team in utah home & home... we don't have the money to do that... that lets me know they are spending on their mens program... bcc had great balance to their nonconference schedule... not many money games on there... so they are spending money on their men... our men are the biggest athletic fund raiser we have... its time to take care of them because there is alot of money to be made in mens bball... cbs & the ncaa is telling you that...!!!!!!!!!!! were not as bad as jackson st. though... do they ever play at home during nonconference... ??.... they are just abusing their program... & what comes next... another coach is going to have his career rouined when they fire him.... then they will bring in another coach into the same screwed up situation they call a basketball program...!!!!!!!!!!!! SOMEONE STOP THE MADDNESS........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.... PLEASE SOMEONE STOP THE MADDNESS........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
