our largest margin of defeat so far has been 21 points to auburn. but there's no shame in that considering auburn is presently ranked #4 in the country with a 24-1 record, plus we played them on their home floor. all of the teams we've loss to have winning overall records except for winthrop who is right at the .500 mark.
our ladies are currently on an 11 game winning streak and have won our last 25 out of 26 regular season conference games! we are 26-1 in the conference over the last two years! i'm tellin' ya, this team is something very special!
if we make it to the big dance, i truly believe we'll have a decent chance of winning a first round game. for hbcu's, its only happened a couple of times on the men's side, but i don't believe its ever happened on the women's side. i'll have to research that to be sure, but i don't recall an hbcu women's team ever advancing in the ncaa's.
my fellow aggies, if you ain't on the bibbs bandwagon by now then you're missing out on the best women's basketball team in our entire history! at a time when our football program has sunk to its lowest point in history, our men's basketball team is shakey at best, and our supporters are starving for an meac championship, all aggies need to get on board the bibbs bandwagon and support this team! AGGIE PRIDE!

oleschoolaggie, I have not scienced the history up, but Vivian Stringer/ Cheney State comes to mind. I dont know if it was DII, but it is really not hard to see that this is a special team and Coach. Man we should push this team from here on out. This is a model program that seems like it will have the ability to reload. This is great great news for Aggieland. We must help build a name for the program and help to create a new tradition among HBCUs. ===== Also (if they win out), and make the show, they will get fans who want them to knock off a power in the regional. Somewhat like HIU had people pulling for them during their run.

pj, regarding advancing in the ncaa's, i was referring to the division 1 ncaa's. i believe cheney is a division 2 school. however, howard had a couple of lady powerhouses back in the day but i don't believe they advanced to the 2nd round of the ncaa's.
hopefully, if bibbs finishes her career at a&t, she will leave a long dynasty behind her. it would be very tough for her to duplicate the meac dominance that corbett had during the 70's and 80's. but if anyone can do it, she can.
i'd like to see her hang at least 5 championship banners in corbett before she leaves or retires from a&t. if we haven't already, we should hang a banner in corbett for last year's regular season championship too...

I think SC State won games before womens basketball officially changed over to the NCAA.
