i think we need a tuneup game before playing winston, especially considering we have a brand new coaching staff. any chance of scheduling a d2 team the weekend before sept. 5th? i'm pretty sure jcsu won't be interested... This year you cannot schedule 12 games and I think you have to be granted permission from NCAA to play the weekend before Labor Day Weekend.

Furniture market runs Oct 17 thru Oct 22. Hotels cannot handle the homecoming crowd the weekend of the 24 th. Why not? Most furniture market people leave early. It's needs to be the 24th espically with WSSU & NCCU homecomings the same weekend of the 31st Why should we be concerned with NCCU and WSSU. We draw the crowd not them. And actually a few less locals trying to get in the Sheraton and the parties Downtown is a good thing.

North Carolina A&T 2009 Football Schedule Sep 05 @ WSSU Sep 12 vs Norfolk State Sep 19 vs Hampton Sep 26 @ Coastal Carolina Oct 03 vs NCCU Oct 10 @ Morgan State Oct 17 @ Howard Oct 24 vs Delaware State Oct 31 vs Bethune-Cookman Nov 07 @ FAMU Nov 14 -BYE- Nov 21 @ SCSU This needs to be corrected. We need to play in Virginia and DC once a year. It makes no sense to me to go to the DC/Metro twice a year, and then twice to VA

It going to hurt those rappers who were hoping to perform two or three homecomings in the state. Then again the promoter could use this to get the highest price for him or her. If gas hit $5-6 gallon and unemployment keep rising it is mute point.

Bad economy or not, fans of A&T will save for homecoming if they don't do it for any other event besides Christmas. and I'll bet you a month's salary right now that A&T will be the only one that will sell out that date among those three.

Sell-out?? I'm tempted to take that bet!! You do realize we haven't had a homecoming sell-out since 2003. This one is pretty late in the season, a struggling economy, other competing homecoming on both sides of Greensboro. This team would have to be 7-1, or 8-0 to sell-out homecoming this season, even that might not help.

As far as I could remember, Homecoming has always been the last weekend of October, last year was an exception, but for the most part, it has been the last weekend of October
and yes, may not be a sell-out, BUT WE WILL OUTDRAW, WSSU, NCCU!

We need to seriously have a ticket price reduction for the homecoming game or at least have some kind of family special package deal. Some of the people in the tailgating area might consider going in the game if tickets prices were lower. It's at the end of the month so a lot of people would have just gotten paid and might be willing to purchase lower price game tickets.

Aggie77, there hasn't been a homecoming sellout since the fiasco by Dee Todd and Renick of jacking ticket prices back in 2004?

Aggie77, there hasn't been a homecoming sellout since the fiasco by Dee Todd and Renick of jacking ticket prices back in 2004? i think that's "exactly" the reason, aggiejazz. and the sellouts stopped even before hayes was let go! before they "jacked up" the price of homecoming tickets, i'd "NEVER" attended a homecoming game that wasn't a sellout! before they put the new track down, we use to have to bring in extra bleachers to accommodate the overflow crowds. now, we can't even fill the permanent stadium seats. i know they were trying to generate additional revenue but they went way overboard with the last price hike. the prices should have been raised just enough to continue having sellouts without a waiting list. otherwise, we're losing money because the empty homecoming seats could have actually been sold...

I disagree with this whole ticket price thing. I don't think we can have it both ways when we have this desire to improve our program. You have to generate revenue from somewhere. To many folks were benefiting except the institution. Maybe if we could get the alumni to give more to the athletic program then the ticket price can be reduced.

purchasing "$35" per ticket per person was very miserable to see A&T lose 41-3
