Last week we told you that interim head coach George Ragsdale would remain on Lee's staff as assistant head coach and likely the running backs coach.
Well now, Bluedeathvalley.com has learned that former defensive coordinator Tayrone Odums will also be coming back next season to serve as Defensive Line coach.
In addition, there are reports that former A&T quarterback Marshall Glenn (2002-2005) will be promoted from his role as volunteer quarterbacks coach and will now join the staff as the fulltime WRs coach.
Stay tuned for more updates ....

I still am 100 percent against this selection process and I think we could have ultimately hired a better coach, but I must admit that Blue Death is gonna be sick in the next few years with Lee and Odums both here.

Hopefully the MEAC will split the conference and if that happens the Southern Div will be hell....with you all getting back to your old form, Joe Taylor doing his thing at FAMU and the Bulldogs wrecking folks.....We might get an at-large bid just for the South division.... ;D

I guess you guys think the MEAC is really full of dumb headcoaches to believe that a MEAC defensive coodinator just turned headcoach for the first time is going to out coach at least 7 of his 11 opponents this year to have a winning season.
You guys are going to need a bailout of the brains.
BTW, a headcoach hasn't been named and the insiders of insiders don't even know when it will happen themselves. So, what do you think recruits, their coaches and their family are thinking about A&T and where they have A&T ranked on their list of choices right now?

Odums coming back is excellent news and will probably be the DC as well as d-line coach just like Lee was under Joe Taylor before Small showed up. This just solidfies the defense to the point that you can expect that A&T be a top ten defensive squad within two years after we get some of the red shirt d-linemen to mature this spring and fall.
Glenn has a good attitude and should be okay as a receivers coach. The biggee is now what to do with the OC, OL, the Secondary, and special teams?

I know you all are excited about the possibility of Odums being DC, but from what I here the majority of the players feel just the opposite. The reason that they feel this way is unknown to me and I was not told why. Personaly I thought he was a good DC.

Whispers in the wind, Oleschool, you and I live and die A&T so to speak but I doubt the parents of the recruits have that same feeling of trust that you have in A&T or Rags. Now, I'm a father of a very good football player and Ragsdale sits in my livingroom and make promises about who the headcoach will be and I am thinking why the wait. Tell me why the wait and none of Ragsdale's answers will make any sense to me as a father whose son is being recruited by other schools where the whole staff is in place.

Didn't Odums run a 3-4 defense and Lee a 4-3? If so, what's A&T going to get next year?

Lee ran a 3-4 when he was here.
I think the number of quality linemen we can put out there will dictate what we run.
