You are what we call wet behind the ears. I bet you thought Busta Rhymes made his grand debut in that courvoisier video with Puffy. C'mon man, do some research and know your history: www.youtube.com/watch?v=veed6QHL5oY

Man you get one shot at trying to discuss the true genesis of Busta Rhymes and the best you can do is post a video link to Sobb Story?? C'mon dude....let me take you a ride known as the Scenario...it features a group known as A Tribe Called Quest (maybe you've heard of them) and it features Trevor Smith Jr. (aka-Busta Buss) delivering one of the most memorable rhymes of all time. Enjoy my young Padawan learner...may the force be with you. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFZLq6R-ZtMThe remix: www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1277K769ko&feature=related

The best verse in that song was the from the dude who got shot.
"I'm a bad, bad man ..."
BTW: Sobb story was Busta's coming out party. He was already an established star when scenario came out. Charlie Brown was thought to be the star of the group when PTA came out, but Busta stepped into the lead role after the Sobb story video.
But of course, that was before your time so there is no way you could have known that.

Actually chillen, Busta stepped into the lead after Scenario. Up until then Busta and Charlie were neck and neck. Charlie put it down on "The Sound of the Zeekers." Busta made it happen on Scenario, twice! Even Cut Monitor Milo did his thing on the remix.
Poor Dinco.

But of course, that was before your time so there is no way you could have known that. Ladies and gentlemen, Pull up a seat and watch me school this wannabe hip hop aficionado... It was INDEED the Scenario video that launched the solo career of Busta Rhymes. A Tribe Called Quest's second album (The Low End Theory) was one of the biggest albums of 1991 and was/is critically acclaimed as one of the best hip hop albums of all time. Arguably viewed as one of the best songs of that album, Scenario produced two notable performances....the video....and a guest performance of the song on the number one late night show of that time...the Arsenio Hall show. Busta Rhymes stole the show on both of those performances and actually increased the visibility of L.O.N.S whose album had already dropped earlier during the summer of 1991. Sabb Story as well as Just Another Case of the P.T.A. were great singles on a mediocre album...but Scenario was on a classic album and no one will ever forget "Raow Raow like a Dungeon Dragon" verse....and thus the legend of Busta Rhymes was born. Schools out...turn in your homework by tomorrow....Semaj...I need to see you after class.

Dinco D was always getting slept on. He should've hired his own PR consultant.

Did either of you clowns see the Yo MTV Raps with those fools on it? Or Bussa "Behind the Music?" They showed the same clip on there.
Fab 5 asked them "so what's in the future for the Leaders of the New School" and Charlie replies "I'ma do my own thang. Charlie Brown is doing for dolo." Dinco and Bussa Buss were in the background looking like "what the hell?" The look on their faces was absolutely priceless. You need to be finding that interview on Youtube.
They broke up about 20 seconds after that interview.

I saw that.
Dinco said him and Busta was about to jump Charlie Brown when he said that, but they didn't want to do it in front of the cameras.

And I think I am probably the only idiot who bought their second album "The Inner Mind's Eyes (T.I.M.E).
That joint was un-listenable ...

Look up the hot hip hop albums of 1991 and Future Without A Past wont be among the top 10...maybe not the top 20. Step in the Arena, De La Soul is Dead, The Low End Theory...91 was a pretty good year for hip hop but i'm not sure that I would put Future up there with the creme of the crop. I own it though...and I guess I'm the only one besides you who owns T.I.M.E.....and yeah it was wack. But by then you knew it was a wrap and Busta was going solo.
