The problem is that the money that Eaves raises he has to negoiate what they put back into the program and ironically most of it goes to the increases that football has gotten during the time he has been here.

aggiebornandbread,
You are dead on. Eaves (mens basketball) will bring in signifigantly more than any other athletic revenue source. Used to be football but home attendance was so poor the last half of the season.
Eaves is bringing in more than his fair share of food to table but he only gets one piece of chicken on his plate along with Bibbs. Fobbs (football) was getting half a chicken. lol
I realize why we are doing this to try and turn around football. The best thing that could happen to Eaves budget was for football to have a good season. Now he knows he probably want get any increase in budget and fans are mad about football season.

You know what, you'll very rarely hear me support Eaves on the actual coaching aspect of his job, but money is getting hosed right here buddy. If this is true, Eaves may end up being the single most important piece to the whole athletic department!!! That is absolutely absurd to me. That is some backyard mess there. Eaves is supporting the football program? Well, d@mn, give the man the assistant AD post then. That's crazy.

Has anyone asked the AD if Eaves money goes to support football and/or other sports? And the flip side of that is, where does the football money go?

football money goes to support football ..... lol; football only brings in about 35% of what it takes to run it on year to year basis, so you run the numbers and you will see how much it cost to have football..... in fact . even if we won the national championship in football the NCAA does not pay a dime to A&T.. the sponsor pay the big bowl games,,,, it does help you scheduling wise to win ;cause you can ask for more in a pay game but thats it. ;;

eaves has to bring in 350k right off the top... & administration doesn't do one thing to help his program...
aahhbigboy... remember when i said eaves has raised the basketball program from the bottom of the ocean...well think of our basketball program as the titantic... & think what it would take to raise that ship from the ocean depths... think of all the machinary & cables it would take to bring this ship to surface in one piece...
well eaves has raised the titantic from a row boat...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
& don't think schools who know they support their mens bball better than a&t... haven't taken notice....!!!!!!!!!!
