Although change is needed, the important thing is how it's done. We are treading in deep water here. If it's done right, we'll be able to keep a foundation in place. If wrong, we'll be back on a 0 - 22 streak again.
Right to me is let him coach out the year knowing it's his last year and that his contract won't be renewed. This will give the athletic department a chance to convince kids not to leave.

GAtor we've already started another 22 game losing streak. Something has to be done now.

Dude,
Still, it was decisions, thinking and rhetoric like some of you discussed before, in my opinion, that helped us end up on a 0-22.

Gator has a point, this needs to handled with a level of respect and decorum to ensure that both parties walk away with their dignity in tack and to avoid any public drama that would be a greater embarrassment than what we are currently experiencing. But, I don’t think we need to wait to the end of the season to accomplish that.

77,
Most of me feel that way too. After thinking about it, it needs to go down now!

You're half, Gator. More than anything, I think that hiring someone with 0 head coaching experience is what got us at 0-22, not so much what was said on this message board. From what was written on this board, there were alternative options than Fotts that the powers should have chosen. Like a previous poster said, "I'll believe it when I see it."

Now that everyone knows it is over for Fobbs, it is time for "Thank you's", have the defensive coordinator take the reins for the rest of the season and AD Wheeler become the focal point of this football program for the next few months.
There are sharks in the water and it is up to Wheeler to protect Fobbs and the players. Fobbs doesn't need anymore headaches and he can go take care of his family in this difficult time for them. Wheeler should and no doubt will address the players to let them know he cares about them and that they are under scholarship and should honor that by playing hard and do what they are told on the field, off the field and in the classroom.
The fans should be patient and don't expect a lot of details until after the season. Potential coaches are working for other employers so you won't get any names except what you read on reliable BDV. ;D

Seems like this same thing happened with Hayes. First there was a press conference then there wasn't, then there was.

Seems like this same thing happened with Hayes. First there was a press conference then there wasn't, then there was. I confirmed with Brian Holloway at 11:30 that there was a press conference scheduled at the Bryan Field House for noon.

Lee Fobbs is still the Head Coach at NCA&TSU. The question now is for how long.......
