The defense played great in stretches and scored once. That's all you can ask for from a defense.
If we had Ferg for those 1st down runs to give us 2nd and short sometimes then we win this one.
Our offensive line was getting DESTROYED on pass plays.
I wonder if Ferg was say 85% or something and Fobbs was thinking that he better save him for NCCU because if he losses that one he is out of here.

I'm by far a Herb fan, but he was under pressure immediately on a 3 step drop. That's ridiculous!
So I'm NOT blaming Herb on this one. Just call me "Thrilla Junior" because I cant let yall blame this one on him. It's definitely not on him.
We all know Miller is not Superman QB, so why act like he can save the day when the running game and pass blocking is horrible?
No Ferg + no pass blocking = no points.

The offensive line played like complete trash tonight.
However, I blame this showing more on the offensive coordinator than I do Miller Time.
Coastal Carolina literally had 11 defenders on the line of scrimmage on several plays and we never adjusted our protection once.
Also, when you know they are going to bring a jailhouse blitz and you know the OL can't block anybody, then why would you not have the QB in shotgun?

Soon as herb get the ball he run. Thinks hes Mike Vick or somethin. Bench his a$$!! Yeah, he was under a lot of pressure tonight. But the times where he wasnt under pressure its like WTF is he doin. Throwin dumb ints. He had his chance. Let Fears or Morgan take over. We wont win another game with Herb playin QB

The way this OL is playing, we won't win another game if Tony Romo was playing QB.

It was the OC tonight. It was like he had a game plan and refused to changed it.
Even the announcer kept saying "why are we running delayed running plays and counters? When we line up and run right at them we get 4-6 yards. When we run those counters and delayed traps we get no where. Their defensive line is smaller and faster. Smash mouth will work"
Thats what everyone else did to them and it worked.

Coastal is not a good team. We're even worser [sic]. The offensive line, quarterback and offensive coaches share in the blame for this loss. Coach Fobbs really carries himself like he doesn't even care anymore. We'll beat Central and maybe another team or so, but that's about it.
Firing another coach will not accomplish anything if we keep making bad hires. I'm interested to see who Wheeler brings in next.

Ferg aside, better coaching wins this game absolutely. The power game started out working and he abandoned it and never game back to it. That was THE dumbest thing I've ever seen.
For sure coaching lost this one, not talent, herb, ferg or the OL. It was coaching period, end of statement. For sure.

We can't simply say we would have won with Fergusen. Coastal would had adjusted its defense. The question is could A&T have countered their move? The history indicates the answer is 'No'
