...to host the NCAA I-AA championship game?
We should try it. We've got a decent enough stadium and they're supposedly redoing the press box. We've got the replay screen and Greensboro is very accessible.
Granted it hasn't worked to make Tennessee-Chattanooga a powerhouse, but it did wonders for Marshall.

Are those requirements or just stuff they have?
Last year their field looked like some swampland in Louisiana somewhere it was so chopped up in the championship game. They must've just put in the new stuff to keep the game.
Supposedly we're gonna expand the press box, maybe this off-season.
The track is wack, but most lower division teams have one. Chatt. can't host that mess forever.

The press box will be renovated this off season. They hope to have it ready for next season. It will be extended out on both sides which will take away some of the seats on the home side. An elevated will also be installed.

Oh, by the way I think it is a good idea to at least bid on the game, who knows, we may get it.

Our track is "state of the art" i talked to some of my track people from other schools so they wouldnt be biased and they said we have one of the fastest tracks in the nation, thats why we hosted the Nike Championships this summer, but in terms of being playoff ready, I feel like need field turf more than anything, obviously the renovated press box will be a deciding factor depending on how big it is and how much crap and ppl ESPN can hide and stuff in there during games, but i say u get some field turf and put the right angle on marketing greensboro (ie ACC tourney loves it here) and we gotta chance
