The squad that started "Go Go (school name) hey hey" was a High School in Greensboro in 1992. Smith High School. In regards to the competition, then some girls and the male coach went to A&T and did a camp. Some high school squads can do some of those stunts. I saw alot of people fall and it did not look safe. "not so fast my friend"... all i know is when it comes to cheers.. drum cadences.. bumping songs being played by HS bands..etc.. etc.. if those schools are from gboro.. they heard it & saw it 1st at a&t... a&t's influence in this part of the state among the school kids is unprecedented... if it happens at a&t you will see it again somewhere in the triad area until everyone has copied it... the more band & cheerleading clinics a&t hold... the more a&t graduates work in the school systems... the more things are going to spread... you have HS band members who come to homecoming with cam-corders in hand... not only to see what the blue & gold is doing... but what howard is doing.. what bcc is doing... etc... etc...
