What's the punch line?

The actual thought of someone PAYING for Eaves' basketball instruction. I can see the first defensive drill now. He'll have all the point guards standing straight up with one of those matador capes. Free lane to the basket. lol Sorry for the late reply.

Coach Eaves gets a lot of respect in the coaching fraternity. A lot of coaches and administrators like how Coach Eaves has improved the Aggie basketball program.
I and along with most of the alumni should appreciate how far the men's basketball program has come with the restrictive support the program progressed under. Those high expectations we had this season for the men's basketball program did not come out of a vacuum. A lot of the alumni liked the success the team had in 2006-2007 season. Things didn't work out like we hope but to me didn't take away form the progress the team has made so far.
BTW, Eaves recruited two of the best guards in the Sweet 16 this year, Stephan Curry of Davidson and Scottie Reynolds of Villanova by way of Oklahoma U. I don't know exactly what happen with Stephan but I heard Daddy Curry gave Eaves a fair shot but the Aggie program was still working its way from the bottom of the conference and unhappy negroes were complaining loudly. A&T jumped on Reynolds early before the the big schools came calling. Scottie turned it out his last summer in AAU and afterwards he got a lot of attention from the big schools.

Question your sources. I don't know anything about Reynolds, but I personally know that T didn't have an ice cube's chance in hell to get Curry. Bad info.

Eaves' first basketball camp at A&T seems to be a huge success. I heard he had over 100 participants.
BTW, aahbigboy, my info isn't bad. The Currys were very willing and open to listen to Eaves' pitch. They did not turn Eaves away like quite a few NC parents did prior to this year.

I have also heard that there's been a great turnout for the camp this year.
I'm not sure how the word got out, but a lot of parents are sending their kids to this thing.

That's good news about the campers total. Will the men's program be able to keep the money from the camp, or will it go to the "general fund," i.e. football?

I think that money goes straight to Eave's pockets. Isn't this how most D1 coaches earn side money during the offseason?

Eaves' first basketball camp at A&T seems to be a huge nice success. I heard he had over 100 50 participants.
Not as big of a success that I first heard but it was still a success with little advertisement. I look for it to be bigger next year.

the camp is a great idea. i've often wondered why fobbs doesn't have a football camp. camps are not only good fundraisers but they are also excellent recruiting tools for young prospects…

Fobbs has had a football camp two previous years. My grandson attended both years.
