This is the 20th Anniversary of the great 1988 Men's Basketball Team. This team came very close to upsetting Syracuse in the 1988 NCAA Tournament in Chapel Hill.
In the last 20 years since that great run the later BB teams have struggled to came back to that greatness.

Dont forget 94 and 95. Made tournament both years and almost beat the eventual National Champion(Arkansas) in 94.
Damn, that game must have been a curse. Both us and Arkansas have fell off, LOL.

We've been reduced to reminiscing about the good 'ole days. I guess it really is that bad around Corbett. Dang.

The number one culprit for these 20 years of haphazard records is the administration and the number two culprit is the non-giving alumni that wants a gallon of blood for the price of giving plasma (you Scott Hall drinkers from the past know what I am talking about ). Why not the coaches? They share some blame but I don't think they carry the most blame, because in these last 20 years there have been 5 coaches; Corbett, Capel, Thomas, Hunter and Eaves. I think we are on the right track and that is stability and an above .500 record in the conference.

Why give more money to an incompetent administration? That's just like spraying air freshener at a pig farm.
It doesn't make sense.

Why give more money to an incompetent administration? Because you are talking about history. Hackley and Todd are gone. The current administration has yet to have a chance to prove itself. We have both a NEW university administration and a NEW athletic one who have been in place for just a matter of months. Give it a break.

It's not about the literal meaning. It's about how dag-gone funny the statement is. You know you'll be using that air freshener part sometime this weekend. Well, at least I will.
Hey, I'm the biggest proponent of withholding funds for foolishness y'all ever knew. That being said, I concur with Aggie77 on this one.
