we need real ball players...size matters, but you need some kids with talent....find some kids that can flat out play...we havent ever had a 6-9 center that was legit...but we always had all conference players on the wings and at the point...i will settle for a legit point guard and a decent sized 2 guard....not two 5-10 guards like we had last year..i can see a small point guard, but there is no excuse not to have decent size wing players...my son's 15 and under aau team's guards are as big as Ace, Rush, Tavaras and Glenn...and we are not even a nike or reebok or adidas sponsored team....charlotte is loaded with talent...when's the last time a kid from charlotte has been on our roster?

We split with NSU this year. We split with DSU this year and they knocked us out of the tournament on a last second shot. We split with HU last year and they won both games this year. HU lost to UMES during the regular season. A team that only won maybe 2 conference games this year. WSSU split with HU. We split with WSSU. I believe NSU split with WSSU. We split with MSU last year. They won the only meeting we played this year. None of the schools you mentioned won the MEAC. So I am asking you what are they doing that we are not doing (thats making you so happy) in terms of performance? We all seem to be right here together.
I want the same thing you want for A&T and thats success! I also know the success (in most cases) doesnt come overnight.
I dont know your personal feelings about Eaves but Im not sure he can do anything RIGHT in your eyes.

Oh, and by the way, HU has lost in the first round the last two years in the MEAC tournament. Harvey and HU alum arent very happy.

i tend to agree with whoever said you can get 6'4" on a tank of gas....maybe not in greensboro, but i am sure you can find it somewhere in nc, va or south carolina...and please, dont compare a 6'4 power forward to joe binion, who was drafted in the second round by san antonio, and played a hot minute with the portland trailblazers before going over seasons for a 10 year career... Not trying to speak for Aggie One, but I'm pretty sure he meant to compare him to Joe Bunn.

joe bunn was a 6-5 man...he could play...now if this kid is a joe bunn, we might have something...

I dont know your personal feelings about Eaves but Im not sure he can do anything RIGHT in your eyes. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but every team that you mentioned in your post finished with better records than us with the exception of WSSU (newbie) and UMES (perennial doormat). I love that they consistently win. Can't really say consistently with MSU b/c that was only Bozeman's 2nd year and the NSU coach because it was his 1st year. He (Bozeman) came in with nothing and mopped the league up by his second year. Jack's accomplishments have run circles around Eaves. HU hugely underperformed and still finished above us. Harvey should be mad and I'm glad that he's mad. He wants to win while we're sitting around saying, "Ooooooooohhh look, Eaves signed a 5'6" point guard, isn't he cuuuute". And just to rub it in, even Fang won another one.......with arguably one of his worst teams!!!!!!! I too, know that success doesn't come overnight, but how about 5-6 years? What does he need? 10, 15, 20??? I don't know Eaves personally and maybe that's why I can look at this objectionably. He hasn't done anything people!!!! Since he's been here, none of you can say that you thought that we had a legit chance to win a championship. We consistently do not have the personnel (recruiting). All he's done right is not go 1-26 like his predecessor.

Hampton has a 5'5 point guard they signed last year. He started most of this season. Again, what have they done that we havent? Head to Head match up please! NSU lost to Longwood, we beat them. Our out of conference record was better than theirs.
We all know Bozemans situation. The good as well as the bad. Do you really think he will stay at Morgan until he retires? Or do you think he's just there until something comes along that he wants?

from what i'm hearing eaves narrowly missed out on henderson & aaron morris... signing those 2 with moorman would have rated this recruiting class an A+..... but if 1 more big body signs... this class still could be an A+...
UK is offering a lot of kids a chance to walk on from what i hear... when henderson realized this he opted to take a scholarship.... there aren't many schools out there that will give a walk on a fair shake...

aahhbigboy... you are at it again i see... does economics factor in your reasoning... ... but i'll take some time out to paint you a picture.... aggie9195 has mentioned some schools we are on par with but lets look a little deeper at their budgets... dsu 1.8mil... hampton 1.4mil... sc state 1.3mil... famu 1.2mil... i'll admit nsu surprised me they were really tough... coppin st. lets face it everyone has caught fang... wssu you knew bobby collins was a good coach when he was at hampton... i'll let you in on a secret... if wssu takes care of their program like hampton... they will leave a&t by the waist side... eaves has caught teams who have budgets 2-3 times larger... davidsons budget is 1.4mil... now having said that... you see why harvey is hopping mad... he knows a&t spends little on mens basketball yet we have caught teams who are spending the type of money not only to win the meac... but to advance in the ncaas... if eaves has caught teams with much bigger budgets... imagine what could be done with an equal budget...... but then again this how my mind works... if only my beloved university had such reasoning powers... we could be a power in every sport we play....

The picture you've painted has made me ill. Here's a couple of questions and a comment to follow.
What have we caught? What do you need all that money for? Where is MSU's and CSU's budget? They were in the tourney final. What is Bibbs' budget? Did she need that money to get ballers? This type of reasoning makes me sick.
Did Memphis' budget need to be on par with UNC's, Florida's, UK's, Kansas' to make it to the national championship? So many of you set the bar so low because of a darn budget. Give me a break. I don't know this, but was Capel's budget larger than everyone else's and is that why he won? How about Corbett? How about Thomas' for that matter?
You guys sound like the project kid that swears he can't make it because he wasn't born with a silver spoon. Get past that self-pity mentality and raise the bar.

Truthseeker where are you getting your budget figures from? Only DSU has a basketball budget over $1 mil.

Capel won with Corbett's recruits (except for Bunn). Thomas also won with Corbett's recruits. I am not saying that they were not good coaches, I am saying that Corbett recruited good players.
