We have ample talent and seniority on this team to challenge for the MEAC title. I'm sorry but this points back to the coach. this is a talented team but inconsistant shooting & turnovers has hurt... but at the same time we have put together good games the last couple of weeks from a statistical point... our turnovers are down & our FG% is up & we are rebounding the ball alot better which shows the coaches & kids are putting in the work...!!!!

The game is won or lost in practice. I beleive the team is playing exactly as they're being taught. decks... like i mentioned to thrilla... check out a team practice... that's what i did when i questioned what was going on... the coaches know what they are doing & after practice they'll listen to your concearns... matt dougherty of smu & carolina before that was impressed last yr.... & he even said "eaves has coached the heck out of this team".... i'm sure he knows a thing or too about coaching since he played under dean smith... & roy williams was on the staff then also...

We have ample talent and seniority on this team to challenge for the MEAC title. I'm sorry but this points back to the coach. Wishful thinking. The fact is that a bad recruiter in Eaves brought in marginal talent and JUCO players, both of which destroy programs. Furthermore, the assistant coaches look clueless on the bench. Coach Jackson slowed the ball down last night and X and O'd Eaves to pure oblivion. Eaves should be ashamed. And just think, we don't have an ice cube's chance in hell in being better for the next 2-3 years with the garbage that is coming in. It's sad, but the days of Curtis Hunter may be upon us once again. seems like some of you won't be satisfied until bball is a mirror image of our fball program.... we lost a tough game against del st.... a program that spends over a million dollars a yr. on mens basketball... with a coach who makes twice as much as eaves... a program that has assistant coaches making more than our head coach... yet jacksons program is no better than ours... he is a good coach & a proven winner... but if they have to struggle to beat us with the resources he has to work with... lets me know one thing... eaves & his staff are pretty good coaches also... you don't beat a big east team if you are a dumbass....

I really can't blame the players. They are playing up to their potential. It's not their fault that they got offerred to play somewhere that's over their skill level. Each and every one of us would take the scholarship. Eaves is at fault. When is the last time you questioned Coach K's coaching decisions? You probably never have because he knows what he is doing and his players respond. Every year, coach Jack (Del St) has inferior talent and every year, the guy wins. He had a 90% winning percentage at Central before Del State. It was obvious last night, we were just out coached in every phase of the game. Del State started their offense out of 6 different sets and played more than 4 defenses last night. Eaves still doesn't know what hit him. The point is this, whenever we play teams that have it together, we lose. That speaks to the coach. Period. aahhbigboy... after reading some of your post would make one think our program was in big trouble.... but you throwing eaves in there with coach "K" tells me the program is headed in the right direction.... if only we had coach "K" resources.... hmmmmmmmmmmmm..... if we only had del.st. & hampton resources.... hmmmmmmmm....

You're a true fan.....fanatic. An out-of-body experience for Rush beat Depaul. And you can say what you want, and I don't discount the importance of the financial resources, but Eaves has come nowhere close to Jack's (Del State) accomplishments. They have, by the way, won the regular season, conference tournament, and made it to the big dance. That's the equivalent of a national championship in the MEAC. The triple crown, if you will.
And maybe you're right, if we did have those resources, maybe things would be better, but guess what? Norfolk State, Bethune, and Morgan State don't have those resources and there was nothing your outstanding coaching staff did to help his team during those L's. And to further discredit that senseless point on resources, Morgan and Norfolk State are currently 1 and 2 in the conference standings..........and Norfolk's current coach is a young guy that started the season with the "interim" tag!!!!!
So, back to my point again. Whenever we play teams that have it together, we lose. That speaks to the coach. Period.

Wow bibboy, do you and jaffejoffa sit around and talk about how much you dislike Eaves and Fobbs. Eaves has brought this program from the deepest darkest basement imaginable to a place where we are competing with the better programs in this league and winning against the better programs in this league. You say we lose we when play teams that have it together but didn't we beat this same Del team a few weeks ago in Dover? I can remember 4-5 years ago when we couldn't beat a pickup team at your local blacktop. Fact is we were totally in that game and if Jones doesn't miss that F%^&ing layup at the end of reg then who knows what would have happened in OT.

If...if "ifs" and "ands" were pots and pans, the world would be a kitchen.

Yeah, I agree. This will be a common theme. Let's hear from all of the excuse makers first. What are you gonna go with? We didn't have our leading scorer.....or It really was a no-call and it was OK for him to get thrown out.
Did you see the look on Keyes' face? He was terrified. Also, Eaves pulled the same gimmick last year at Howard. The game got tight at the end and he got thrown out. So this is officially a trend. lol I motion to have the guys play first and Lady aggies play the primetime game.

Let me step up and take back all the positive things I was trying to say about Eaves and the program after Del. Even without Rush we should not be losing games like that. WSSU has some players but we clearly had more talent on the floor throughout the night. I was embarrassed to walk out of the annex after the game. Bigboy, I'm starting to come around to the "dark side".
Do have to say that the atmosphere of the game was crazy.

I give Coach Collins a lot of credit. He is a good coach and has improved every year as a head coach and he is a very good recruiter. Coach Collins is a friendly acquittance of mine and has always been very open to people. A characteristic that is lacking in Eaves and may become his undoing at A&T.

'Jazz, Coach Eaves personality will not be his undoing. His inability to win games like Sat will. This is a one and done year in the tournament. Those looking for magic better trek on back to Chicago, because I’m calling this season a wrap. This team just can’t get it done.
