For all practical purposes we're now playing for the #5 or #6 seed for the MEAC tourney.

Are we the only team in the MEAC that CAN NOT make a free throw, and what the f*** is the coach doing with 30 seconds to go. You have to foul and give yourself a chance with some time left. If I am wrong, let me know.

It ain't the coach, the senoirs are not coming through for the team. It will be the coach if he allows this to continue.

I can't think for Eaves, but in my opinion I think he was counting on the team playing (ok don't laugh) tough defense since Del. State was only up two and the shot clock had about an 8 second difference from the game clock. The problem is Del. State's post player hit an almost uncontested mid-range jumper. With that being said, our overall talent level sucks.

We have ample talent and seniority on this team to challenge for the MEAC title. I'm sorry but this points back to the coach.

me too, the game is played on the court, and the coach is on the sideline.

The game is won or lost in practice. I beleive the team is playing exactly as they're being taught.

I don't know what the final figures are but at one time in the second half we were shooting 33% from the free throw line. If we hit a reasonable per centage at the line, we win the game. End of story.

Ed Jones got the ball in key situations when he should have been fighting for rebounds at most or just standing in the corner for three. The airball was ridiculous. Coleman missed free throws and nobody wanted to have the ball in their hands at the end. I really feel like they gave up.
I think we're heading back to the future next year, look for us to be near the bottom of the MEAC unless a helluva recruiting class comes out of oblivion.

Missing free throws ain't got nothing to do with Jerry Eaves!! He wuz not shootin' em. That's what lost last nights game. That plus the Seniors went seniorita and punked out. AggieMike I think we're on target for a decent season next year. Our dead weight seniors will be gone. Hopefully the under classmen have a leader somewhere lurking in the background.

We have ample talent and seniority on this team to challenge for the MEAC title. I'm sorry but this points back to the coach. Wishful thinking. The fact is that a bad recruiter in Eaves brought in marginal talent and JUCO players, both of which destroy programs. Furthermore, the assistant coaches look clueless on the bench. Coach Jackson slowed the ball down last night and X and O'd Eaves to pure oblivion. Eaves should be ashamed. And just think, we don't have an ice cube's chance in hell in being better for the next 2-3 years with the garbage that is coming in. It's sad, but the days of Curtis Hunter may be upon us once again.

Is the light finally shining through so that we can see the forest inspite of the trees?

Eaves has yet to figure out a substitution pattern. His substitution strategy is "Willie-Nilly" at best. At this stage of the season he should have this figured out.

With three road games and NSU at home coming up we might slip to the sixth seed if we're not careful. That would put us into the first round of the MEAC Tourney.

I must warn you. You need a clothes pin to pinch your nose before clicking the link below. We only have 1 player with a positive assist-to-turnover ratio. It's our point guard that is only 1.2/1. Eaves is terrible. sports.espn.go.com/ncb/teams/stats?teamId=2448
