This write-up about Akron reminds of the Aggies teams of the 1980's.
Team Notes:
• Akron extended its home winning streak to 15-straight games.
• The Zips have won 36 of their last 37 games at Rhodes Arena, and are 45-2 at home under fourth-year head coach Keith Dambrot.
• Currently, the Zips hold the sixth-longest active home-winning streak in the nation winning 15 consecutive games at home. Entering today BYU leads the nation with 37 straight home wins, Memphis (36), Wisconsin (28), Notre Dame (25), Indiana (24), and Tennessee (22) follows.
• Akron had three players score in double figures, including Nick Dials (21), Quade Milum (14) and Nate Linhart (10).
• UA shot 50.0 percent (18-of-36) from the field in the first half. They finished shooting 45.9 percent overall (28-of-61).

I didn't expect us to win this one but I was hoping for a competitive contest. So far the men have been a huge disappointment.
Anyone remember the last time Akron came to Corbett?

We need to start getting teams like Akron into Corbett rather than keep playing them on the road.

How have they been a disappointment? The lost to Nolfolk was a let down, but they did beat Depaul. Every other loss was expected. So where is the disappointment. Man yall are tough.
Lets wait until January before we start yelling disappointment.

We need to start getting teams like Akron into Corbett rather than keep playing them on the road. you could get teams like akron to come to corbett... they came to corbett when corbett was coaching... they came to the greensboro coliseum when irvin was coaching... so i'm sure they would have no problem coming to a&t now.... the only problem is... akron is paying us $65,000 to come to ohio... until the administration starts taking basketball as serious as the officials at akron does... these are the type of games we will be missing in corbett....

Don't forget this team has seven seniors in its rotation that alone shouldn't translate into 25 turnovers to any team in country. Plus the DePaul win took a Herculean effort by one player to get a three point win. I’m not disappointed in the losses, but the play of the team in the wins and losses, sloppy execution of the offense, indifference on defense. The team I saw last year and the year before was better prepared to play mentally, physically and emotionally. This is very disappointing, because they are creating a habit and I haven’t seen any signs of a change. That NSU game was the worst game yet. I wouldn’t be surprised that when NSU steps on the court with Hampton or Morgan, that NSU doesn't come within twenty points at home or away against either.

I've seen them play and even though I do agree with your assesment I'm not disappointed about it at all.
It's early in the year and thats normally how basketball works You start off rusty and are a picture of perfection by midseason. Smarter shots, better defense and they will contend for the MEAC title come tournament time.
Without the loss to Norfolk they would be right where they are suppose to be.
I was at A&T the last 2 times we won the tournament and both those teams lost a few games early in the year that they should not have loss. They also loss both years to NCCU.

This board is extremely hard on Eaves Whether or not Rush starts or comes off the bench, the rotation changes... All that matters is that we are playing good basketball in March, not December. With all the problems in the Athletic Department, Eaves should be the least of our worries.

I haven't seen anyone slam Eaves yet. The point is it's time for us to beat some non-conference opponents besides D-II's. I'm also looking for us to be somewhat competitive against the big boys......kinda like Morgan State and Hampton has done.
