How about our guards don't play defense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are too small. Plus, when your guards take the majority of the shots, they are more-than-likely resting on defense. I never thought about it but they do play matador defense. They don't defend the perimeter or the drive very well at all. Plus Eaves is not pressing and trapping as much as he did two years ago so the guards have gotten lazy.

Why did Eaves change the intensity of the defense? I also remember when we were tougher on defense a few years ago. Defense is supposed to be one of Eaves strengths as a coach.

I remember that too. I remember that although we lost almost every game, more than 50% of the teams that played us lost their next game because they were still so tired from playing us.

I believe he's overlooking his defensive problems because of the inconsistancy of his offense. But if he focuses on the Defensive end, forcing turnovers it will lead to easy baskets. Also with Coleman playing so well if he focuses on getting him and jason the ball, It should lead to Rush getting some good looks instead of throwing up half court shots.
