The men play 3 games against MEAC teams (Coppin twice, NSU once) and the women play 6 MEAC teams (UMES, Coppin, MSU, FAMU, BCU, and NSU)
They are independent D-1 teams, and a guaranteed sellout at home or a best seller in the GSO Coliseum. Why arent we scheduling this "money game"?

When NCCU join the MEAC.
This game is too intense. It is fun for the fans, only.

you're right jazz... the ladies might play nccu in the future but not the men... the wssu games will be intense enough.... & wssu beat georgia st. the other night.. who almost upset georgia tech.... so this is not a series you want as a coach when it does not mean anything....

Isnt that one of the main points of this whole athletic competition thing? Fun for the fans? Challenge for the players, coaches? Revenue for the school???

This aint Pee Wee League!!!! I agree, These big time rivalaries built meac and ciaa basketball, the more the better. we should schedule schools like jc smith, shaw or any of these schools that may travel to corbett instead of southern va or these other door mats. remember, when there students travel here they pay to get in. ;D

From all prospectives it seems to make sense. The programs reap the benefits of the huge crowds. Plus its not a MEAC game so all the money goes to the schools. The teams perform better and practice harder for a rivalry then a regular conference game. I cant remember what the score was from the last time A&T won the MEAC but I can remember the scores from the last 4 Aggie-Eagle Classics. The only time there is a problem is when a confrontation arises. But that is with any game.

If we win 18 games and 4 of the wins are against those schools, we won't have chance of getting into NCAAs as an at-large bid. We need to get other mid-majors into Corbett (ODU, James Madison, Richmond, Charlotte) or the Greensboro Coliseum.

We need to get other mid-majors into Corbett (ODU, James Madison, Richmond, Charlotte) or the Greensboro Coliseum. winning against those guys won't get you an automatic bid... winning your guaranteed games will though.... besides we can't afford to give up the guaranteed games to play other mid-majors... that's a lost paycheck when we have to travel to them... now on the other hand... if our hoops budget was that of a so.illinois... odu... james madison... or charlotte.... where we didn't have to play guaranteed games.... then we wouldn't have to worry about it...... we could schedule home & home with anybody who would dare set foot in corbett.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
