Agreed..football is alot harder than bball...one or two players getting hot one night can win you some bball games, not the case w/ football.. this is why its so much more important to get someone with experience and a track record when picking a football coach.

Since the thread has veered in this direction, I will add that if Fobbs was younger and had shown any potential to be a decent head coach, my opinion would have been different. I could buy being patient with somebody in their late 30s to mid-40s that had shown some decent decision-making and whose team improved over the course of the year.
Fobbs has not shown any of that. To me, there is no point in keeping somebody around just because "patience paid off" with somebody else. Methinks you have to earn that patience.
That hasn't happened in his case. Oh, he'll get patience because of that b.s. contract, but he sure ain't earned it.
