We've always been a basketball school.
We care alot about football and want a competitive team.

I think we would like to be a football school since football has the potential to draw more people since it is the country's #1 sport, however I feel that basketball is an easier sport to get behind. The fans are much closer to the action and it's a more intimate setting. When I was in school (1997-2001) A&T was all about football - are games with FAMU were classics. Bball was a (distant) second. I think it's cyclical so we're probably neither but I'll say football for now since we seem to hope beyond hope that football can do SOMETHING.

I still say football, because its had more of a personal affect on me than basketball. I met my best friend Doomsday at the Youngstown State playoff game in 1999 and later I met my wife at the Las Vegas Classic in 2003.
Once we have a decent team again I think football will become the main focus of the majority of Aggie fans.
