You say we squandered an opportunity on TV, every other time we've played in Corbett on TV we've won right? It was one game, I'm not going crazy yet...
We left our mark though, I spoke with Hampton's head coach after and asked him was he used to having the fans that close to him. (Paraphrasing b/c I haven't played back the quotes) "Not at all man, I mean at Cameron (Duke) they are right on you but all you really hear is the [screams OOOOOH] but here, they are close and you can't hear exactly what they were saying and some of it was real personal. (laughing) They made it hard to call plays or talk to my team during timeouts.
I have some pictures of the Dawg Pound from last night I can post

As long as the crowd is there and stays hyped I think ESPN is here to stay..... the wins will come!!!
Just some questions but what's up with the pep band..... did someone cut their budget??? Is there a rift between them and the music over the loud speaker??? There is something going on..... last nite they weren't ready to play until the 12-13 min. mark!!!

I am glad we are returning to the "old school" days with our crowd....we took a lot for granted about how good our BB Team was in the mid 70s but the atmosphere was similar except it was Moore Gym...i miss those days but seem like they are returning as a significant home court advantage....except now we get siginificant national exposure.

I'm still disappointed. We clearly should have one this game. Turnovers, mental mistakes, and missing clutch FT's killed us. And it was on TV at that. We complain about lack of media coverage, especially TV, yet when the opportunity arises, we squander it. These are the moments we have to seize in order to improve perception and recruiting. Luckily it's still early in the season. I'm sure we will rebound. We're all disappointed but we didn't squander any of the stuff you're talking about, we just lost the game. I respectfully disagree with those that said the opportunity was not squandered. We only have three opportunities to be seen on TV. If we don't make the most of these few opportunities and win, then the opportunity is squandered for the most part. These are major advertisements for A&T on a national stage, that we only get three shots at. We want to win all of them. It was one game, but in terms of national media exposure and public perception sometimes you're only as good as the last game people see. However, if we can't win at least we can convey the fan support and atomosphere that A&T offers. For the most part, I agree. Like I said, a win would have made the night complete, but the exposure ultimately showed Aggie Pride at its best.

Welcome to the board vatoncaggie. ;D
Almost forgot. I agree with others in that we need a post presence. I'd settle for a PF.
I was looking at rivals and scout. Most of the NC prospects seem to have been scooped up. Anybody got any info on BB recruiting??

B: It was not squandered.... go to the "Eaves Get Exstention" thread... read my last post and tell me what you think. It may not change your mind ..... but beleive me it can happen!!! Just imagine to the Cal Irvine squads that were always on the national stage..... the same thing can happen again!!!! One hurdle has been jumped.... and we can thank ESPNU for that!!!
