I will let you know that The midnight madness idea has been tossed around already, however there isnt much enthusiasm outside the athletic department (other areas that support athletic events with labor) because they dont want to pay people and then it becomes an issue of whose gonna pay for what(ticket takers, security, housekeeping, etc). I havent given up on it but just know that its more to EVERYTHING around here than just saying we gone do it. Ive been trying to get a midnight madness for about three years now. Especially two years ago when we couldve had the event during homecoming..with a built in crowd.. (water under the bridge...).. Ill stay on it and keep you posted..

I'm sorry, but after the Spring Game debacle this year I'm more than a little skeptical about what our athletic department can and can not do . There were statements that Fobbs was the one blocking our athletic department from putting together a spring game extravangaze this year ... and that just wasn't the case.
I said this before but there comes a time when we have to do more than just come up with ideas and plans. Sometimes you have to champion your own cause and sell those ideas to the powers that be. Rally the troops and get everyone on board.
Having a Midnight Madness event would be a win-win for everyone involved. It would be a great media event and would help with recruting. It is a no-brainer.
Let's stop finding reasons why we can't do things and start using some of our persuasive powers to make things happen.
