One of the kids from my church is a freshman at A&T this fall. When she told me that she was staying in Scott I gasped. At first a picture of her in the old Scott came to mind and then as she exclaimed that it was new I remembered. I can't believe that we have Coed dorms. Does this mean that we'll need to add a maternity ward to the health center?

Wow!! I haven't been on campus in a couple of years. Just looking at the few pics that have been posted makes me want to go back to school. True, these guys have it much easier than we had. I'm a '98 grad but I stayed in Cooper. Is Cooper still there?? The "strip" used to be jumpin' from the bookstore, then go across the street and walk diagonally in front of Scoot headed towards Cooper and you'd end crossing the street and chillin under the "tree of knowledge" by Cooper. Well, at least that's what I remembered seeing the crowds hanging out.
Progress is good, it's great. But in the same sense, to me you sort of loose the pride and the vivid visual memories.

WOW!!! You just took me back with the "tree of knowledge". Is that still standing and are people still exchanging "knowledge" under it?

It's still standing. Wasn't nobody up under it when I saw it on Saturday. It's still very awkward to look over there and not see Scott B's dingy a$$ walls. I don't know if I'll ever get used to that sight. rest in pieces

Dooms...where in the world did you get this pic? Talk about taking you back. Good ol' 2011A! lolol Man, I still remember my phone number. The comedy on that whole hall was beyond ignorant. Hey, we even had this dude whose room was the one on the corner...you wouldn't miss it. He would put one of his huge arse speakers in the window and crank it. His system would have the whole floor vibrating from his room all the way to the bathroom. Seems everybody walking below - along that same diagonal sidewalk Wallace was talking about - kinda enjoyed it. Ahh for the good times....

The dude with the system you're talking about... his name ain't Brenton or Marlon or Kendall is it?
If it is we probably know each other since I was in 2029 Scott B

My frosh year was 90. The whole area from the strip in front of the bookstore to the strip itself was on fire the first month of school, homecoming, after any gym jam, and in the spring. Small wonder it took me six years to get out of there. Doomsday, I came in as a freshman in 1990 and I stayed in 2020B. Does anybody remember the 2am- 6am parties at EZ Strokes club. How about Hammers Night Club.
