Thrilla,
I just noticed that there is nothing prominent on the front page of the board that says REGISTER! that a person can easily click on and join the board.

Is there any way to make it BIG and OBVIOUS how to register on the board?

There is a "Welcome, Login or Register" message to right of the Logo if you haven't logged in. It just doesn't show up while you are logged in.
