A friend and I were talking about some things we saw our freshmen year that let us know we definitely weren't at home and definitely weren't in high school anymore. What are some of the stories from your freshmen year that was like "Man, this is college!"

I went to a mostly black high school in Houston (Westbury) and my first semester in college was at a PWC in Texas called Stephen F. Austin.
My freshman wake up moment there was when I saw cats hang confederate flags on their dorm room doors and walls.

lol, that would do it for me.
My moment was when I woke up in twin size bed, next to the girl across the hall and was like "Wow, my moms would definitely not have this in her house!" (We just slept get your minds out the gutter...lol)

There was Two girls fighting in front of the old scott hall, it was a hot April day in 1998 everyone was on the strip. The fight continued down the strip to Copper Hall. These two where pulling each others weave out of there head. It was the wildest sh*^ I have ever seen!!!! The fight lasted until the police came which was 10 minutes later. It was wild on the yard in 98, The yard is not crazy like than now in 2007.

Being from Philly, there wasn't too much about college that was shocking, but the thing that made me realize things were different was this time I walked into the bathroom in Scott B (in 1997) and saw a pile of SH!T on the floor next to the stall. Not to mention the girls I saw dressed like dudes at 3 in the morning strolling the halls to get back to whatever room they came from. Ahhh. . . those were the days

Coming from the Army being in college wasnt too much of a shock. To be honest the best thing was being 21 and mistaken for 18. The harvest was bountiful.
