Tuesday, December 4, 2007 Broadway leaves RDU with Duke assistant AD
Grambling State head coach Rod Broadway arrived at Raleigh-Durham International Airport late this morning and left in the company of Mike Sobb, Duke's assistant athletics director of marketing.
When asked if he was here to interview for the Duke football job, Broadway said he was "just taking care of some business here."
Broadway played at North Carolina and worked as an assistant at Duke, Florida, East Carolina and UNC. After being fired at UNC, Broadway became the head coach at N.C. Central and led the Eagles to back-to-back CIAA championships and a perfect regular season finish before leaving for Grambling earlier this year.
On Monday, Duke spoke with Navy coach Paul Johnson about the football vacancy.

That, my friend, seems to be the question of the day.

I don't think so. I think this is a public relations matter. They want to show that they are interviewing minority candidates and what better candidate than the coach from down the street.
Broadway will be in Florida.

Or he could have sealed the new deal with Hayes to head to FAMU while he's here. That really doesn't surprise me after how Grambling fans went off on him because of the Southern loss even though he won the SWAC.
Baffling.....

Right Bluehaze, Duke has no intention of hiring Broadway. Didn't Bunting fire him?
