She has not faced Coppin State yet I don't see your point, I didn’t know the POY a team award. Have you considered that she played against better teams than Coppin. Her two games against Coppin will not have a greater weight (good or bad) on her standing as a POY candidate. What other player is gonna put up the kinda numbers she is expected to and remain within the structure of the team concept. Coppin is good and the odds on favorite to repeat as champs, but they ain't seen Amber Bland either. Man, we are dreaming good thoughts here, and everybody knows we need some.

Amber Bland dropped 30 on Providence, 20 on Baylor and 33 on TCU!! I doubt anyone at Coppin has put up those type numbers against that level of competition!!!!!!

IMO ,after watching the UMES game, Bland is a very good player but from our team to beat Coppin ST , it is going to takes some of the other players to step up (other than Cook). It will take a team effort. IMO, Bland can take over the game if told to do so.

Coppin might( might) be a better team, but Bland is the real deal..POY if she keeps it up
