I would definitely think so. Those games are always well attended.
Only problem is that UNCG alums & students don't display a lot of school pride in the community so you never really know how intense the rivalry truly is.

The women's game vs UNCG seemed electric from watching on TV. I agree, the students probably talk more than the alums do. |

It's a rivalry amongst the students, specifically the Black population at UNCG and A&T's student population. In fact, in terms of Basketball, most of our rivalries are student-related.

its a rivalry by default due to "proximity". any d1 program within the greensboro city limits would automatically become a rival by default...
