Can we get back to celebrating NCAT receiving a $20 million gift...instead of what the university puts, or takes down on the website. There would have been a continuous celebration of this announcement ... if the school hadn't suddenly scrubbed all mention of it today from every A&T platform. As of 4:35 EST, there is still is no mention of the donation on any A&T platform for us to celebrate. The only explanation we have gotten today for the missing announcement is an email response to one alum who was kind enough to share that info on a football message board. Folks outside this forum are still being left to wonder. I promise you, it does not have to be that hard to celebrate a $20 million dollar donation.

FWIW, the news outlets that reported on this have yet to dig up any nefarious details.
We. Are. Not. FAMU.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think people outside this board are wondering about this $20 million gift like that…they aren’t on the NCAT website “wondering” why the announcement was here today and gone tomorrow.
I’ve seen the announcement online, I’ve seen the announcement on the news…I’ve seen the announcement in print media. I don’t know who gave the money for obvious reasons, but I do know how the university plans to use the funds.
I’ve seen concerns raised by folk on this site because references to the gift was removed from university platforms…I’ve also seen an explanation from the administrator responsible. These’s nothing to see here, sometimes I think we Aggies just want to find a reason to complain. Sometimes you got to just take the win.

"some" alums (not including osa) should be on edge cuz they spent the last several months relentlessly "trashing" famu publicly over their donation debacle. otherwise, i don't think this incident would be getting any aggie attention, at least not 3 pages worth...

Thanks WCA, people are on edge and looking for anything to latch onto negatively. I saw a Facebook post today from someone complaining that the $20 million should've been used to build a hotel. SMH... So ignorant man… Folks don’t understand how this works… Donor might have requests of where the money can go…

Most people find it strange when an major announcement suddenly disappears. I hit the link expecting to see a lot of concerned NCAT alumni, friends, and supporters….all upset that this announcement was pulled from university news outlets. That’s not what I saw at all…I got no problem with being wrong….but this time, nah…nobody is worked up about this at all. I can hardly open my phone without an alert about the $20 million gift from several news sources…the only place where I can find any concern about the announcement not being on university sites…are this board, or posts that originate from this board.

I only saw the Triad Business Journal article. I didn’t even go to the A&T site looking for it. LOL Ken Sigmon and his team knows what they are doing. We aren’t FAMU AT ALL. I understand the concern but as soon as I saw who reported it…I was good to go.

I think we are all happy about a $20M donation. But we have to remember that the internet is filled with false information. The way a journalist confirms a story is to go to the source. In our case, the source has no publications currently confirming the donation. I'm sure it doesn't take 24 hours to add a quote to a article.

I hate to break the news to you, but the majority of online chatter about anything related to A&T comes from people on this board.

I'm sure it doesn't take 24 hours to add a quote to a article. To A&T's defense, it has previously taken us about a year just to update a name on an online roster.

You guys need to understand how the media works. There would probably be new follow-up stories today about the donation - from sites like HBCU gameday - if the school had not decided to suddenly freeze the announcement. As a journalist I can’t really publish anything else about the donation until the school makes it official (again). Reporters can’t even reference the details until the school republishes it. No media outlet wants to use another media outlet as the only source of its information.
